QPR confirm arrival of Fleming as first-team coach By West London Sport 15/12/2016 QPR have confirmed the appointment of Curtis Fleming as first-team coach. please log in to view this image West London Sport revealed this week that manager Ian Holloway was set to add Fleming, 48, to his backroom team. The former Republic of Ireland defender has left his job as assistant boss at Hartlepool United. He has held similar positions at Crystal Palace, where he briefly worked under Holloway, and Bolton. The Dublin-raised Fleming made 266 appearances during 10 years at Middlesbrough and also had spells at Palace and Birmingham City during a playing career which started at St Patrick’s. He has also had coaching roles at Livingston and Derry City. Fleming will work alongside Marc Bircham, who returned to QPR as first-team coach when Holloway was appointed last month.
Marc Stephen John Bircham (born 11 May 1978 in Wembley) is an English-born Canadian footballer. [2] He is currently first-team coach at Queens Park Rangers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marc_Bircham Probably out of his depth to be fair. I think Fernandes got him in as an appeasement appointing. His one of our own and all that kind of jingoistic nonsense.
The more Dubs the merrier. Apart from that, it is a strange appointment in terms of his experience. Then again, what experience has Bircham apart from coaching kids? Who is more senior, Fleming or Bircham? So many questions.
In a sideways move Bircham has been named as our Head Director of Bibs and Football Training Cones School of Excellence.
Fleming is a defensive coach? Hartlepool shipped 5 goals in the 2nd half on Saturday against Sean Derry's Cambridge Utd and are in a nosedive at the moment, sounds like Monty Python is our Recruitment Officer...
How are standards continue to lower with every week of passing. I have never felt so despondent about our club. Even the fans have lost all heart now!
