Hardly crunch talks. He has 2 years left on his contract. But an improved deal should be offered to him.
The clubs that would want Davies simply dont have the wonga needed for us to even think about selling him. Dont see a problem with this at all.
Why should it? You/we have no idea what he's on. If he'd played **** would he be hammering on the door asking for a pay cut. If he's gone all billy big bollocks then I hope we dont give him a huge increase. Players come and go if he asks for too much get rid.
Like i said he has 2 years left. But he may have clauses in the contarct he signed last summer. Whatever happens the club are in a strong position with CD either way.
True. HDM have been very poor with info this summer. Copy and paste is all they know. Hopefully we can now get updates from the club and not just the nationals.
Nobody should be offered a new deal unless they are A) being courted by other clubs to show loyalty and put them off B) moving well up in the ranks (like a youth player becoming a first teamer) or C) they have a year/ year1/2 left.
Seriously though, we've been after some pretty serious names at centre back, Lescott,Dawson,maybe were expecting to lose Davies.
