    Hello everyone,

I just wanted to spare a bit of praise for our captain. Of the times I've seen us on TV, in the behind the scenes vids on youtube posted by the club, pictures on twitter, and in person home and away I feel he has always been ever the professional and role model.

The amount of times I have seen other captains at home on TV in the tunnel with mascots just standing there gormless and looking straight ahead pains me to the point where I had to watch Younes Kaboul at Spurs leave his mascot in the tunnel last season. But Curtis is always chatting with the kids next to him, seeming genuinely interested in what they have to say and making them feel at ease. Its a massive day for mascots and must be very daunting and its nice to know we have a captain who genuinely cares about the fans, and ensures that they enjoy their day.

On twitter I always see fans posting photos that he has stopped to take with them as well.

A great player, a great captain, and a great person I hope he ends his career here and becomes a Hull City legend.

He just needs to watch what he posts on twitter when he's pissed.

It doesn't bother me, but I noticed during the off season a few tweets that did not sit with his captain status.

surely you aren't judging someone by what they tweet FFS take it with a pinch of salt as long as he puts his usual solid shift in when over that white line he can do what he wants when off duty.

He's in danger of overtaking Ash and Rambo as my favourite Hull City player of all time.

Well maybe not Ash - what am I thinking? - but defo Billy.

Spot on, articulate and down to earth especially given his earlier big money moves. It was an utter travesty that he was overlooked for the World Cup squad .
In many ways very similar to Bruce , vastly underrated but a great leader on and off the pitch. What a back 3 we have it's scarcely believable the quality of the squad SB is putting together.

As Club captain - no he can't.

The role is as much off field as on it.

He got close to Ashbee status at half time in the semi final at Wembley when he blasted the team to come out and beat the old enemy and put us in the Final and subsequently Europe.

    His Yeovil moment.

Will Michael Daws, Spurs Club Captain, fit in OK?

When Inter won the Champions League they had something like 6 international captains in the squad that year.

edit - just tried to work it out - Zanetti, Lucio, Eto'o, Chivu, Stankovic, Cordoba. There may have even been more.

I would be surprised if Dawson came in expecting to be captain! Changing the captain of such a cohesive team at the moment would be very detrimental. As Sinbad says, a team full of leaders will always be much better than none, and its not like we're going to have too many chiefs and not enough indians!

It's not private once it's on Twitter. If someone really wants a private life, they don't Tweet.

    Glad I could help.

What with Curtis, Leroy and now Mikey Dawson we have three articulate intelligent and totally professional players and leaders both on and off the pitch.. that's got to rub off onto the rest of the squad .. think SB is shaping a terrific squad here .. long may it continue and what wonderful times to be a Tigers supporter

An excellent post. Not only has he been brilliant for us and should have been in the WC squad if we hadnt had an idiot choosing it (Smalling wtf!!!) but he has been a great example both on and off the field. Barring injury and unforeseen developments he surely will become a Hull City legend. Thank you Curtis for all you have done for the club so far.
