Yes, Alan is a nice guy and comes across really well but I really don't see him as our manager. Far too pleasant. Laudrup might not rant and rave but his sheer status in the game at the highest level is enough to command respect.
Yes I noticed that in the interview ivor. When asked about Laudrup ranting and raving he implied that it simply wasn't necessary. I've never been convinced that screaming at players a la Barry Fry is the answer - though it worked pretty well for Fergie. Depends on the type of person I should imagine.
