This is my opinion on who I think should stay and who I would let go. What's your choice? Stay Leaditter, Brown, Parkes, Lockyer, Mansell, Lines, J. Clarke, Bodin, Sinclair, Broom, Gaffney, Lucas, Lyttle Go McChrystal, Taylor, Harrison, Lawrence, Easter, Montano, Fallon, Gosling Not Sure Milldenhall, Puddy, Preston, O Clarke, Kilgour, Greenslade, Malpass, Thomas
Let's see were we end up! It's easier to keep and sign players if we're on the up. I would also hang on to Taylor, Harrison and Clarke. And I would hesitate to get rid of the older heads who add experience and leadership. The big mistake in the past was letting a lot of leaders go. Any successful team needs as many leaders as possible on the pitch.
Stay Leadbitter, Brown, Parkes, Lockyer, Clarke O & J, Mansell, Montano, Taylor, Gaffney, Harrison, Sinclair, Bodin Go Mildenhall, Puddy, McCrystal, Lines, Lawrence, Gosling, Easter, Fallon, Not sure Broom, Lucas, Lyttle, Preston, Kilgour Malpas, Thomas, Greenslade. I have not seen enough of the players in the not sure group to give a fair comment on
Forget the youth players as I havent seen enough to decide. So just from the 1st team squad.... Stay: Regardless of what division we are in. Leadbitter, Lockyer, J Clarke, Brown, Sinclair, Bodin and Gaffney. Go: Regardless of what division we are in. Puddy, McChrystal, Lawrence, Mansell, Gosling, Easter, Fallon, Harrison and Taylor. Unsure: Mildenhall - Been in fine form recently. Maybe our number 2 unless we can find 2 good keepers. Keep if in L2. Go if in L1. Lines - Loves the club, may be good to have in the changing room. Unless we can find better. Keep if in L2. Go if in L1. O Clarke - Good back up in the defensive midfield role. Unless we can find better. Keep if in L2. Go if in L1. Montano - Good in reserve games but cant seem to do anything in the 1st team. Maybe worth keeping unless can find better. Keep if in L2. Go if in L1.
I wouldn't say their is a truly bad player in the squad but the ones I've selected just aren't right for us if we want to progress further I think they're about at their level in division 2 we need division 1 quality at the least to add to the squad if we can
A player that might do us only signed a one year contract for Grimsby - Pádraig Amond - Winger/Striker App 29 - GLS 24 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pádraig_Amond
Notice there's a few marmite players in peoples lists some we all love or hate and I don't mean hate in a nasty description
Yeah very true but everyone would agree keeping the likes of Lockyer and Leadbitter are absolute must's
I hope you made a mistake CJS in putting Taylor on the list to go. I'd rather jump off a cliff than see him leave.
Apparently agreed a deal with a Scotish Prem side, thats the only reason why I said GO. If that is incorrect then he would be a useful squad player.
Don't get me wrong always works hard but has missed way to many chances in front of goal for my liking
Way too many chances. But he works hard and is a constant threat to the opposition defence. Thats why I said would be a useful squad member. But we need someone who can convert our chances. Someone who dont need 10 shots to score 1.
If I remember correctly he didn't start the last two games, so I wonder if he thinks that his heart isn't in it and so he is changing his team accordingly, Stanley were also complaining about Scottish premier clubs taking two of their players for nothing because they are classed as foreigners
Can't see the attraction of Scotland. Gary Warren did well for Inverness CT after being plucked from Mangotsfield United. The standard's variable, and it's a graveyard of ambition.
Not convinced that letting go a striker who's scored 17 goals in 33 appearances would be entirely good business.
He still missed 3 other great chances, got offside when shouldnt have been, missed a header before we went 1-0 up. He couldnt miss his 2nd goal either...
