These tables are very interesting, they show our form over the last 6,8 & 10 games and our position appears no where near as bad as I personally thought, let's hope we continue to rise up the table.. http://www.soccerstats.com/formtable.asp?league=england2
The next game, away at Bolton is a real 6 pointer, if we win that we open up quite a big gap on the bottom 3, which even at this early stage would look quite an effort to close for those 3 teams. There was always going to come a time when we played a few games back to back against sides in the bottom half dozen positions, and we have those coming up now, the trick is to not lose any of those. Do that and we will be safe come May.
we only ever play for 3 points! stats can easily be misleading if you just look and a line of information ! examples Rotherham have gained 9 points all from teams that were in top 12 MKD have gained 14 points all from teams in bottom 12 City have gained 14 points 8 from top 12 and 6 from bottom 12 one last comment regarding CITY is their 8 points have come from 10 games
yes seems like we are doing well and current projections will see us safe! however the number of draws so far this season are difficult to comprehend when trying to predict things! Early indications of this is the obvious slump of Brighton Promotion/ TOP 6 comes from at least W 2 D 1 L 1 = approx. 80 points (BASED ON 4 GAMES) Mid table Win 2 in 5 draw 1 in 5 and lose 2 in 5 = 60 points ( BASED ON 5 GAMES ) City = W 1 IN 5 DRAW 2 IN 5 LOST 2 IN 5 (APPROX) = 48 POINTS!
I should have listened to you... Never mind I'm away for a few days tomorrow, so I can escape the knowledge... please log in to view this image
We could mathematical go 15th if we win 6-0 Blackburn Preston Mk Dons all lose Huddlesfield v Leeds draw.
and by leaving Ashton Gate on Thursday, Bristol City have no excuse for not turning up against Bolton today.
well 17th will be good! at such an early time in the season 5 points adrift for teams in bottom 3 is almost unprecedented
