We say the same thing at this time
Each year, when the Cup´s on the line,
    Cup run or no :emoticon-0112-wonde
    Only time will show
A few rounds maybe would be fine

And I know PL wants to win
    Whatever he enters us in,
    But I´m sure he knows
    How the saying goes
When all the eggs are in the one tin

The priority must be this year
To try and make sure we stay here,
    By whatever means
    And any Cup dreams :emoticon-0113-sleep
Must not jeopardise that, that´s clear

But winning breeds wins, as we know
Whether it´s Cup or league that´s on show,
    And I would just hope
    That this squad could cope
With a few rounds to see how we go

But we´d rather not end up like ´Brum´
With a Carling Cup trophy we´d won,
    Then a fall-off in form
    When the PL got warm
And a return to our Championship chums <yikes>

But a win tonight under our belt
Would be no bad thing to have felt,
    Put us in the mood
    For that Chelsea brood
The next card that old fate has dealt. OTBC

None of the side that came so agonisingly close to taking all three points against Stoke City on Sunday is likely to be called upon, with Lambert set to take the opportunity to use squad members that have not had a taste of Premier League action yet.

Didn't think he would go as far as to use a '2nd XI', to coin a phrase but will be interesting to see how they do against a decent League 1 team
