And they'll still complain they have too many games to play. Bet the FA don't scrap all of the ****ing pointless international friendlies which the select few always get called up for and then pull out.

I can understand for next season but so long as it’s not permanent. I would look to re-instate replays for all the games and scrap the pointless international friendlies. Who even watches them?

Why not let teams opt out if an extra game or 2 is such a big deal for them? I remember the way Klopp went on last season, pathetic

That starts to devalue the actual competition. Didn’t something similar happen with possibly Liverpooland/or Man Utd a year or two back with the World Club Cup or something?

Man Utd I think. Ferguson was another whinging twat like Klopp who threw his toys out of the pram when he didn't get his own way

**** them. Why are they dictating how the game is ran? I'd rather the lower league clubs get a few extra quid to keep them going than avoid Klopp and co throwing a tantrum

Maybe play at the ground of whichever club is lowest in the leagues if you have to have only 1 round. That way they are guaranteed the cup gate receipts and home advantage against bigger clubs?

They should find a way of using the cup competitions to raise money for the lower League clubs next year. I don't think any prem team should take any prize money out of them. The income from those comps is nothing to them but could mean a lot to a club struggling to stay in business.

I don’t know, didn’t Liverpool and us have to use the furlough scheme? Can see Mikey fighting for his pennies from the competition.

Look at the cynicism. How is anyone, especially a Toon fan, ever going to follow football again? I mean, SJP has been a morgue for years - it'll be a ****ing black hole this coming season, and I can now see the famous support dipping.

On the plus side it’s less money for the six fingered soap dodgers in SR1.
