I wrote this piece for a Job Application yesterday but it's got some nice tasty betting lines for you to look at if you fancy a flutter...

    __________________________________________________ _______________________________

Last week Chelsea did the unthinkable. Against all the odds they crushed the Catalonian myth to reach the Champions League Final.

And all of this in spite of John Terry's 768th Moment of Madness. And when John Terry trudged off the pitch Di Matteo was cocky wasn't he? He said in his Italian Drawl 'Won't Matter...'

And then Juan Mata turned round and went 'What?'
And then Di Matteo went 'I said it won't matter'
And then Juan Mata said 'Said What?'
And then Di Matteo said 'It won't matter'
And then Juan Mata went 'Why do you keep saying my name?'
And then Di Matteo went 'Don't Matter...'
And then Juan Mata said 'Don't bring my Uncle into this'
    And then Drogba fell over.

The Champions League has long been the burning unrequited love of Roman Abramovich and on May the 19th at the Allianz-Arena his Chelsea side will have another shot at glory. But has Roberto Di Matteo run out of fantasy? The midweek defeat at home to Newcastle coupled with Bayern Munich's home advantage and superior team raise serious doubts.

Which psychologically may heave even more importance on the ridiculously scheduled FA Cup Final against Liverpool.

Ladbrokes make Chelsea favourites at 4/6 but you can never (not literally) bet against Liverpool in Cup Competitions - a tasty Chelsea/Liverpool Half time/Full time at 22/1 may be worth a punt.

Should Torres start then he's a generous 7/1 first goal scorer; as is Suarez. It's worth looking at Meiriles at 20/1 however, as is John Terry at 25/1 - set play's could prove pivotal.

John Terry will of course feature against Liverpool this weekend. And an interesting and open line of betting is his potential inclusion in the England Starting XI at Euro 2012. So much so that Coral are running a special on who will comprise the centre-half pairing fro the France game.

Terry - in spite of his ups & downs - is still a top enforcer on the pitch; he is in fact traditionally Captain of the English Defence League. And strangely Joleon Lescott has played himself into second place. You can get 5/1 on them two partnering up.

Unsurprisingly Terry and club team mate Gary Cahill are the favourites, but with Roy Hodgson pledging to talk to Rio Ferdinand over the John Terry Fiasco mk43, you might fancy a Rio/Terry partnering at 9/4.

And speaking (properly and including pronouncing my 'R's [which incidentally sounds like something Jim Royle would say...]) of Hodgson you can get the following oddities on his management spell:

To sing the National Anthem 1/3 (Coral)
To win a Major Competition 9/1 (Betfred)
To quit after Euro 2012 20/1 (Betfred)

And a long shot here... Coral have 25/1 for Hodgson to use an Umbrella a la Mac.

Terry's 25/1 with Bet 365 to score first and 10s at any time - Have backed it as he scores loads for a centre half.
