For the first time in a long time I feel we've made a great signing. The right age, an Ireland international and Forest fans rave about him (on loan there last season). Well done McInnes.
I have to agree beating Forest to his signature is great,the lad seems highly rated by Man City fans. A few more of this caliber and that will do nicely. Macormack next Apparently Del boys number one target at left back,lets hope his other targets are his number ones.
Seems like a good deal. Certainly a new LB was number one priority this year in my eyes. Can't wait for next month, close season is so damn long!
Looks a great signing, and I will echo what many others have said, if we could get McCormack as well then Delboy would be a long way to addressing the very obvious deficiencies from last season. Still think we missed a trick by not getting Amougou/Bikey, to me it is no coincedence that when he came in we stopped conceding 3 goals a game. Every team who does well needs a tall dominating C-Half, and we have not had that since Boom Boom left. We all know Boom Boom's weaknesses, I have seen Milk turn faster than he did, however he dominated not the box at both ends of the pitch, and that is crucial. Fontaine and Nyatanga are nowhere close in that area of defending.
I have said a few times now, keep James Wilson fit and he could go a long way. Could of been the arrival of Bikey are perhaps the players realised that they had to play as instructed not how they felt like playing. Because I thought they all upped there game. Also this all happened when Del changed the back room staff. I don't think it was down to one player, but it did help! Also Del got the Cardiff lad in could of been the shake up the players needed to see who runs things at our club now. We have a good determined manager, with his back room staff don't care that they are Scottish just care if they have the same passion about City as I am.
Greg's comments about DMc seem to be very genuine. He is obviously well aware of McInnes record as a manager, because if he was not, he would have trotted out the usual "I've signed for this football club (professional speak for I don't know where I am geographically) because the manager made me feel wanted etc" He only appeared on the "Rumour radar" a few days ago, so let's hope that we get some more of the same to fill the other positions where we lack quality in depth. Young, but with a decent number of games behind them and with ambition to get back to the Prem (with City).
