First home game of the new season brings the Chairboys first ever football league opponents, when the Cumbrians visit Adams Park for their 8th visit having only ever won on one occasion, their last three visits to AP have all ended in draws. There may well be changes to the starting line with Josh and StuLew back in contention to partner the impressive Peter Murphy in midfield. I will be absent as bloody working again, but letâs hope we can turn around our poor home form of resent seasons and put a second league win on the board
Feeling confident about this one.now ga has his players in the squad and not the previous manager's rejects we should have a good season. My prediction is a 2_1 win for the blues
Carlisle have 2 strikers out injured including Amoo so that should help.My only worry if we keep the same side is with Rowe being on the bench, we were bloody lucky to get him back this season as he's quality but how will he feel being a sub? It's a good problem to have with cover in defence i know. Up front i'd stick with Hayes and McClure who could form a decent partnership. We need to win more at home this season and today should be a good start, 2-0 i reckon.
Carlisle have always been a tough side to beat so I'm going for 1-1. If we keep our defence injury free I think any team in L2 will find us difficult to score against so I think we can win most matches with just 1 or 2 goals. Hope this is one of them.
Is Rowe recovering from injury or is it that whoever is keeping him on the bench is very, very good? At least if one of our defenders gets suspended/injured, it won't weaken the defence.
No changes so that's 3 consecutive games, maybe Ainsworth has learned after his mistakes last season with the chopping and changing the line-up every game, if it's not broke don't fix it i suppose.
No changes to the starting line up for the third game of the season 01 Ingram 03 Jacobson 06 Pierre 02 Jombati 26 Mawson 15 Murphy 11 Wood 07 Cowan-Hall 22 Kretzschmar 19 McClure 09 Hayes Substitutes 10 Bloomfield 12 Craig 13 Richardson 17 Morias 18 Rowe 23 Walker 25 Amadi-Holloway
We seem to be well on top but can't put it away. Hope we don't pay for that as Carlisle will have ro re-organise for the second half.
