Must admit, I was a little unimpressed when we signed him but after reading his interviews and tweets etcetera...

I'm impressed. Looks to have a great ethic and huge drive to play as much football as he can. The sort of player we need. Big thumbs up.

I'm afraid I have become increasing sceptical of players and their words, probably started with Bents love of us and badge kissing, so its actions on the pitch I will judge on.

I'm underwhelmed by some of the names we are linked with but if we sign them, whoever they are, I will try and keep an open mind until I see them play, 100% effort will be my starting point.

Cana, Gyan and Bent all came with glowing reputations but all ****ed up over.

I'll take lesser names that graft their arses off for the club anyday over badge kissing charlatans who then plot to leave us.

I thought he looked solid yesterday when he came on as well, certainly far better than Bramble, though I think most of us on here even after 4 or 5 pints would've done better than Bramble.

However he is already been aligned with badge kissing charlatans and met with scepticism, so it would appear he has an uphill battle to impress.

At least he was prepared to come to the North East willingly, without along courtship and any agents making their views known,he does deserve the cleanest of slates imho.

I think you have misunderstood my post.

Far from aligning him with the badge kissing charlatans I am saying I'd much rather have the more unimpressive names at the club such as Cuellar over them.

IMO, the lad comes here with a complete clean slate and with a 4 year EPL experience behind him now. Good acquisition for me and will offer a good solid team/squad place if and when selected, which will be sooner rather than later if Bardo is out medium term.

thanks for that Cest, I picked it up the wrong way, apologies.

I think this could be a quality signing - may not be "marquee", but will be a class above what we have now - I want Cuellar to suceed and I reckon he has the potential do so.

I think we all want him to succeed and I have nothing against the lad, just saying that it will be actions rather than words I will judge on.

Nee bother kidda. Its the same reason I'd be happy with likes of McGeady, Fletcher, Jarvis etc, as these are lads that would come here hungry to succeed and not weighed down by their own self importance and selfish requirements.
