Looks like the, ahem, popular appointment of Big Eck to the Aston Villa management post might scupper the Cuellar move. As a Celtic fan I would be a bit relieved as he is a good player and the style of the SPL seems to suit him.

Why would it be off because of Eck? Bet you there has been no time for a statement on Cuellar as he just got the post last night, papers talk a load of pish. Some were even reporting McLeish signed him for Rangers so will want to keep him at Villa?????????? Nonsense, our transfer window doesn'y open till 1st July, we'll see some signings after that.
it could be a good thing that Mcleish has taken over at Villa, rumour has it he is after both Dann & Johnson so may be looking to offload a CB. In any event all depends on Cuellar's wage demands, anything more than £20k/wk then we have no chance!
This interest in McGreggor could see Cuellar coming the other way ? I dont really want to lose Shagger but IF he does go i would like to see CC as part of any deal.
