Anybody who goes all negative saying thing like, 'that's our season over' or 'we're going to get relegated now' can f--- off! It may have been a poor game from our point of view but we have just had an amazing ten game unbeaten run - only bettered in Europe by Barcelona! We will bounce back from it! We are allowed to lose occasionally! We could well be in QPR's position! Also, our striker is Morison, not Morrison! Confused me loads given that West Brom have a Morrison!
Well I thought moro was bloody useless bor, Hootun out! What have the lads been doooooin in trainan neayl?
The reason we love the game is because it is so unpredictable. If we won or drew every game we were expected not to lose it would be very boring indeed! Having said that, West Brom's home record is excellent, so a one goal loss may well not be bad at all come the end of the season. By the same virtue, if we lost every game we are expected to lose, we would also be very bored indeed - so why can't we get something from the next two games? - you couldn't ask for a better time to face Chelsea or Man. City (well, in Man. City's case, playing them as they were about 15 years ago would be much preferred but you get the gist!).
Indeed. An unsavoury queue forming to slate Morison and Hughton. Our season will not be defined by a close defeat away to West Brom. Still, it's strange not to eagerly awaiting MOTD.
Morro was ****e! But I'm not going to get all negative !but we have just lost against one of the weaker sides we've played recently. I'm sure had Holty been on and Ruddy that would have been a different score line
Sorry, but this season West Brom are not a weak side. They're sixth in the league despite going on a four match winless run and are certainly a much stronger than Wigan, Reading, Villa, Stoke, Southampton and Sunderland and are probably on a par with Everton. It's still disappointing to lose, but losing to West Brom at The Hawthornes is no disgrace. Only Stoke and Man City have won there this season and Chelsea, Liverpool and Everton have all come away empty handed.
10 games unbeaten or not, it always feel a little disappointing when your team loses. I'm not feeling down about it though because we've done fantastic so far, we are also having to make force changes to our team due to injuries, so I think we've coped well. I know Morison is a different type of striker to Holt, but I felt we missed him today, he never stops running and he chases the ball all over the pitch. Hope he is back for our next game.
Having watched the match on-line, I thought there was much to be positive about. IMO, their first goal should have been ruled out for Odemwingie's foul on Bunn but in the end they went for it with another striker and got the result. The difference was Lukaku, but he is a Chelsea player and may well go back to them in January. Snodgrass had a great game, as did Johnson, but it's a big ask for Morison to come in without much match-time and that showed, IMO. At least the bottom 4 all lost and Villa will have a tough time at Chelsea tomorrow. Another step towards survival and still in the top half of the table.
Positive positive positive we are having an excellent season a 2-1 narrow loss away to a damn good team is nowt to wurt about OTBC!
Why did cinamon Jackson start the game? Hootun dont have a flippin clue do he? hent a lot of good being a Norwich fan this year!
Ive never said a bad word about Morison and have always stood up for him, but he was bloody dire today!! Looked exactly what all of the haters have been saying about him, slow, uninterested and the lone striker roll just does not work for him. Snodgrass was putting some quality balls into the box today as well, so he cant say we didnt play to any of his strengths. He was put through at one point, and looked like he was standing still. Very poor performance, and just didnt look premiership quality!!
If anyone doubted Holt's contribution this season because he hasn't scored many, today will have made them seriously reconsider. His contribution off the ball gives us so much space and time. Wes particularly reaps the rewards of that. On the ball he's not Berbatov, but he's a helluva lot better than any other striker we have. We desperately need him fit.
It's not the end of the world just watched the highlights on MOTD. I thought the first goal was a bit suspect, I'm a bit surprised that Lukaku was being marked by Garrido for the second.
No shame losing to the baggies, they were better on the day and in lukaku they have a quality striker Not many will win at the hawthorns this season, they just about beat us
Totally agree. Yesterday made clear just how much intelligent work Holt does in our new system this year. Feels strange losing. I feel sort of cheated (although we weren't - I thought West Brom just about deserved it). I guess this must be how the fans of the big boys feel when they lose.
