JAY: THAT GOAL WAS FOR ALICE Jay Bothroyd has dedicated his goal against Manchester City on Saturday tea-time to young cancer sufferer Alice Pyne. Alice, aged 15, has terminal cancer and has been fighting the illness for the last four years. Bothroyd scored QPR's opening goal in the 3-2 defeat against Roberto Mancini's men, and the R's striker told www.qpr.co.uk: "My goal is dedicated to Alice. She has inspired me in ways nobody could understand. "She was a special guest of mine at the game, and I have been speaking with her almost every day. She is a very inspirational girl who has given me a whole new outlook on life. "Alice approaches every day with a positive attitude. I spoke with her after the game on Saturday night and she said she enjoyed it. "She might think that meeting me and a few of the lads is great, but I have to say that having the privilege to meet her had has a huge impact on me. "She has taught me a lot. There are so many things that we, as professional footballers, moan about, but meeting her has made me have a whole new outlook on things." http://www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2508699,00.html Glad to see that we have genuine good guys playing for us. Maybe this explains Jays sudden burst into form.
