Crystal Palace chief admits Ambrose can go for the right price
Darren Ambrose can leave Crystal Palace for the right price

Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish admits that any offer for Darren Ambrose would be considered as the midfielder is desperate to play in the Premier League.

Ambrose has been strongly linked with a move to QPR, who are managed by Neil Warnock, his former boss at Selhurst Park.

And Parish admits that every player has his price as he looks to support Dougie Freedman ahead of the upcoming Championship season.

"We know that players want to play in the Premier League and Darren is no different - he has played there before," said Parish.

"If we get an offer for a player who has a certain amount of time on his contract we will have to have a look at it.

"If we get the right offers for certain people and we think that we can improve the squad with the money we get for them then we will look at it."

If Neil Warnock wants him then that is good enough for me, if Ambrose is half as good as Derry or Hill then I say buy.

Yes, I think he's got more potential than making-do Rollercoaster. But I must admit he looked short on confidence when he came to play at our place earlier this year...NW's the man to change that

We're going to have to get used to 'making do' until the Goons sell up!!

Goldhawk - low on confidence possibly because he was playing for a struggling side. I personally would trust NW's judgement, only Leon Clarke (who was a free transfer) hasn't performed.

    Benefit of the doubt?
Maybe, he'll show us why Derby fans love him so much!
    Or is that crazy talk?

I'd put Ambrose in the Routledge category. Too good for Championship, not good enough for Premier league.

    As for Hulse................

If we sign him, at least it means we are signing someone

ok ok. Hulse hasn't exactly been a fireball of goals. (memo to self to use THAT expression hopefully a bit in the pemiership), however in his defence I would say that we bought him injured, he never got a full pre-season under his belt AND if he hasn't go into double figures by Jan 31st I will eat Humble Pie. Im prepared to give him until Jan to prove my point - as so far as Clarke - good player but not for us or the championship.

Sorry, are we all starting to pin our hopes on Rob Hulse now? I got tarred and feathered for doing that on the old board last season. You'll be saying we will get to the 4th round of the cup next!
