Comments from CP. chairman commenting on their players purchased so far, and what a successful season they hope to have.....

e do appear to be making giant strides forward of late, prompting most fans to dream of a push for a potential European place or a cup run at the very least, but we must also exercise caution, given the circumstances. Although I hate to mention Charlton Athletic on this blog under any circumstances, it’s always worth remembering that their decision to dismiss Alan Curbishley sent them into a spiral which they still haven’t managed to recover from.

Buoyed by consistently solid seasons in the top flight, the Addicks felt as though they had it made, only to push Curbishley out of the door in search of a fresh direction. It was a disaster, leading to a spell in which they dropped into England’s third tier. Although I’m not suggesting we will do the same, it’s worth remembering their plight as a cautionary tale.

This is what I think is commonly known as ''trolling''. Though it is a common misconception that we wanted Curbs gone - not sure how many times AC has to point out it was his decision.

As Goebbels said, if you repeat a lie often enough people will believe it.

It's fact. Get over it. You got relegated, twice! Lost shed loads of "fans" couldn't afford the coaches anymore?.

As we all know, a week's a long time in politics, and a season's a long time in football. Let's see where we are in 5 years' time? The lie which has become fact in the eyes of the more gullible is that we got rid of Curbs. Anyone who is seriously interested in the truth should read Curbs' book. He remains one of the most honest men in football, unlike the present incumbent at Selhurst Park.

Your temporary rise is nothing to be proud of Nigel.

Simon Jordan knocked dozens of small suppliers when he was living the dream.
