    According to Johan Cryuff himself one of the best footballers ever, his best XI are as follows:

    Yashin (USSR);
    Carlos Alberto (Bra), Beckenbauer (Ger), Krol (Hol); Guardiola (Sp),
    Charlton (Eng), Di Stefano (Arg/Col/Sp), Keizer (Hol); Maradona (Arg),
    Pele (Bra), Garrincha (Bra)

    All great players but no Messi or Ronaldo.

    Do you agree?

    I would have included Cruyff myself but the guy is not arrogant enough (although not exactly lacking in self esteem) to include himself...

    Assuming he means Pep Guardiola it's a bit weird playing him at left back seeing how he played at centre midfield.

    THE best left back ever is Paulo Maldini.

    Dennis Irwin a close second! <ok>

    He's playing three at the back.

    Yeah?

    The thread doesn't show that and I didn't read the link so I'll take your word for it.

    Look at the punctuation used - commas separating players and semi-colons separating defence/midfield/attack.

    It's a 3-4-3.

    I'd have had Cruyff and Maldini in there - and Luther Blisett instead of pele.
