Just because he was coming to us every window for the past couple of seasons doesn't mean he's coming now. No Harry, no Crouch.

Just shows you can't trust what the tabloids print these days...

Harry Redknapp wants to work with Peter Crouch for a FIFTH time.

Queens Park Rangers boss Redknapp would like the 32-year-old Stoke striker to join him at Loftus Road as he continues overhauling his squad for a crack at instant promotion back to the Premier League.

Well someone needs to tell Darren Lewis of the Mirror that Harry is no longer our manager and Peter Crotch is now 34, bloody lazy journalists:headbang:

He'd be perfect and he's dropped down the pecking order where he is now

No doubt this is just another rumour and media tripe. Nonetheless, I remember watching Crouch play against us at LR a few seasons ago (we were of course, abysmal) and Stoke won 2 nil. The amusing highlight of that game was Tal Ben Haim managing to miss the pitch whilst making an attempt at a throw in and somehow chuck the ball back out! Anyway, Crouch's work rate was staggering, he seemed to be involved all over the pitch. I think he would do a great job for us even if he is almost a pensioner by football standards.

Would still do a job at this level and would be ideal to play along side Austin, however if Austin goes then I'm not sure where he would fit in with out current squad, also getting on a bit in footballing terms!

I quite like Crouchy, but this would be pointless. It would make more sense if we were realistically pushing for promotion this year, but as we aren't he'll just temporarily fill a space which could be taken by someone with (potentially) a future to get game time.

Actually think this would be a good move, ironically we now could do with another older head or 2.
