According to Chris Kamaras sources on twitter Crouchie is at Stoke now with Palacios with a view to signing for Tony Pulis' men.

Its well known that Bruce has a boner for Crouch and that we are desperate for a big man. Do you think we'll try and tempt the big man up here or sit back and let this take its course.

Stoke is only 42 miles to Liverpool, and in my opinion 'Mrs Crouch' will therefore decide it's better for hubbys career.

I don't think Crouch will suit our style of play but will be ideal for Stoke City...

So we should bring Kenwyne back then, Kenwyne who should never have been sold in the first place.

    I like this plan.

I can see stoke getting rid of Jones soon... He's flopped where ever he's been.

That statement may just boil a certain 'awol' posters piss enough for him to come back to pass comment: he absolutely detested Jones...
Personally, I liked Jones and believe he gave us an attacking option that we no longer have, not to mention his defensive qualities at set pieces..

Aye Jones was always a love or hate player, i loved him mate, i was gutted when he went.

Even on his 'lazy' days his defensive work from corners was superb, it was the fact it took him 5 mins to trot back upfront that annoyed folk.

I will always maintain he should never have been sold, nobody will change my mind on it.

Wouldn't expect to change your mind beaky - everyone's entitled to an opinion - yours differes from mine on KJ - I though he was good in parts but not quite good enough IMO - although his defensive qualities from set-pieces were amazing - we hardly conceded a goal from a corner when he played for us - that alone may be worth bringing him back for!!!

Jones flopped wherever he's been? he scored 14 league goals in his last season for Southampton, was by far our best player for us in his first season then went on to get 10 and 9 goals respectively in his next two seasons with us, he then went to stoke where he was top scorer and helped them to the f.a cup final despite having problems off the pitch including the breakdown of his marriage and uprooting his children from friends and a school they were very settled in, hardly a flop. Id give him a piggy back from stoke if he would come back.

Not only do I think he's a quality player he's apparently a top bloke. My mothers best mate used to live next door to him when he lived at Nevilles Cross and he's one of the nicest blokes you'll ever meet according to her. Rare in the modern game?

Crouch is an ugly long streak of piss who turned us down because he wife wanted to do her shopping in London... I wouldn't want him.

Jones was fantastic one game in five and got a strop on when Bent was our main striker.

Piggy back Jones? Have you seen the size of him!? You'll do your back in!

On Jones, absolutely loved him, and always thought he was going to hit a run of form and really take the league by storm. Never really did, and although he's been steady at Stoke, he hasn't been immense.

I'd have him back, but I think that's just because we're desperate for another proven striker at the moment, rather than because of his quality. When we signed him he had the potential to be a real top player, but now I think he's just a steady mid table striker. Would love him to prove me wrong though, and by all accounts (and in interviews etc) a really nice guy.

Crouch would be good here, and at Stoke. He's big but his tekkers are alright as well. If he was here he'd do wonders helping to develop Wickham's game I think. Looks like he's going to Stoke though- good for them. Pulis has done a great job there, even if their style isn't the best in the world to watch.
