Just in case someone is wondering why they can't start a match thread:

I've just read on the mods forum that cross board threads have been disabled. This should be temporary.

The way it's been cross board threads could only be modded by mods from the main forum it was posted on. We haven't had any particular problems on here with it, but there have been forums subjected to attacks from other forums and the mods haven't been able to do anything about it.

They've been trying to make it so that both sets of mods could deal with it, but that keeps breaking things, so until they've sorted out the coding they've disabled them.

Also just found out, all the existing cross board threads now only appear on the main board. So if you're looking for anything that was on here but started on another forum you'll have to go to the other forum.

There was one on General Chat earlier about Hillsborough that had been linked to the Liverpool board. It turned into a bit of a slagging match pretty quickly.

Yeah, I saw they asked for it to be taken off their forum. That's the kind of situation, but from what I've seen on the mod board in recent weeks there's been forums getting bombarded with it and a few mods asking for it to be disabled. It's the usual thing where a bunch of dickheads can't keep within the rules so until it can be controlled nobody is allowed to do it, having to moderate it for us just gives the Supermods too much work to do when they've got other changes to make.

You cannot make such nonsense up can you. Time for the naughty boys to get there bottoms smacked and maybe kicked off here. If you cannot play happily then you should not be playing at all. This type of thing is just typical of the country we now live in. Fooook the masses just for the few idiots. Oh well,,, <wah>

I campaign for democracy and freedom of speech! We should be allowed to say what we want when we want and not be controlled by these speech cobtrolling and moderating dictators!!

    Mods out!

It's a bit annoying that we've lost the match day threads, but there is a spin-off benefit, the site runs much faster when the cross-board threads are disabled.

Funny how it has just been disabled as we are about a week away from the Lesta game. Coincidence maybe ? AKCJ and Proud Fox will be so upset for starters at this news. :emoticon-0116-evilg

Yes it's a coincidence. If they get the coding sorted out we might have them back by the time we play Leicester.
