Basically a Fred about dogs. Dog theft is sky high, prices are sky high. But dog modification, whats your thoughts?
Barbaric ... human vanity ... dogs need ears and tails to communicate ... removing them is similar to cutting out a human tongue... which we also used to do ... coz we are a ****ed up species ... end.

Makes some breeds look really nasty and people become frightened and wary - the dogs pick up and that, as dogs do, and it can make them suspicious and defensive ... therefore potentially dangerous.
Close. Farmers use them to cut cutesy ickle lambs tails off. Goes on the tail, cuts off the blood supply so the tail eventually falls off. Barbaric bastards.
If a gun dog has its tail docked there's a reason for it. A long tail on a spaniel can get very damaged very quickly when the dog is working. My two spanners are 3/4 docked. They were going to be sold as working dogs so fair enough. See no reason to doc a pet spaniel's tail.
same with terriers, if they get stuck down a rabbit hole you have to pull it out by the tail, pulling on a docked one won't damage it's spine.
I have a Viszla and was against getting his tail cropped. Now the **** regularly takes out anything on the coffee table with his tail wagging away, also their tails can go “dead” later in life after years of smashing into things. I won’t have him cropped now as he is 3 and is too old but it is not just a cosmetic thing for pet dogs
My daughter has a Visla, it sits on your lap like a cat even tho it is almost as big as you His tail was docked even before they saw him but can still almost break your legs when he wags it
Brother-in-law used to have the biggest Doberman i have ever seen in my life used to do the same thing to me, big soft ****er
