He bloody does. I can't remember each incident off the top of my head as my memories **** but there's been one almost every game. Starting at Norwich, 3 against Palace, was it against Villa where he had a practically open goal from 6 yards out and kicked thin air? There is a very long list. At least he's in the positions to miss them, I can't remember the last time I saw us have a striker frequent dangerous shooting positions so often. But he doesn't half ****ing miss them.
Good question that. Who win in a fight tournament ? I'm going for McGregor or Thud....wait....what about Macca ? McGregor : Well he looks like he might be up for it more than most. Thud : He's huge. Macca : Dunno, there's something about him.
That's very harsh. He had one brilliantly saved by Foster but he struck it properly. Not one of these cop-out little passes into the corner he laced it and was unlucky. I've no idea where the Long free kick suggestion comes from? The players all say McShane is bravest/hardest on the pitch but I reckon McGregor would be useful in a fight too. Sagbo would nut someone and then start rolling on the floor.
I reckon Mark Oxley could handle himself in a fight. He looks like a young Bronn, before his face got ****ed up.
I'd personally love to see Jelavic & Sagbo going at it, like a pair of rutting stags. Find out once and for all who really is the hardest.
The Long free kick suggestions comes from me; it’s based upon the way I have observed him kick a football. I remember reading a few years back that McShane’s rugged qualities come from cutting his teeth in the Irish youth leagues, which stereotypes aside, are said to be notoriously tough.
How would it work? A tournament of a one v one round knockout or a round robin/ groups etc with two (plus best runner up) proceeding to the knock-out stages? Or just a Battle Royal type scenario? I’d suggest the perfect venue would be inside a disused swimming pool.
If someone had just coshed Faye over the head with a snooker ball in a sock and proclaimed themselves the new daddy, we wouldn't have this situation. But here we are. I'd suggest a The Quick and the Dead type scenario. No fancy draw needed. Just offer out who you want to do. Loser is out the running and the winner lives to fight another day. Carry on until one man remains.
Think Jelavic looks like the type of bloke who could issue a devastating headlock. Sagbo is a swinger.
Yeah fair enough about Long. He had that shot against WBA which hit the bar which was a bit free kick-like in curl towards the top corner. I've never seen or heard of him taking one though so presumably he isn't particularly good at the specific movement required for free kicks.
