It's the manor of our performances that worry me. Okay I agree had we had 3 points from reading I'd be more comfortable but we don't have those three points!
Some ****ing people. Honestly Edit: (not directed at you tony , I sent mine same times as you did) I'm not at all worried, and being perfectly honest, the only game where we should have won, no two ways about it was Wigan, which we did.
WE HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED TO DROSS FOR A LONG TIME, waiting a little longer for the good times to roll is just round the corner, when you have had as much heartache as i have following the lads a little longer to wait for thr good times is just a blink away
I don't think it's a crisis but you can see a lack of confidence and understanding in the players. I have no doubt we will get better. We should pick up some good points in November. At the moment I can't see us beating the mags.
No way is it a crisis. Beat the Mags and the roses will be blooming again. BUT we aren't going out to win games. I think the general saying is Go for a win, tend to get a win or a draw. Go for a draw you tend to get a draw or a defeat. Sunderland are not shooting, not making chances and more worrying for me is they can't even do simple passes. If that happens in 1/2 games you can shrug it off, when it happens for 12/13 it get a bit more worriying....
There has not been a 90 minute performance since the QPR match, and as for beating the mags i am the least confident as i have ever been (the plus being their supporters not being behind the goal)they constantly kick the ball to empty spaces, and are BEHIND players when balls are crossed. Cisse and Ba not to mention Ameobi will have a field day against our defence, and what has happened to MCclean, Larsson etc?. The one thing i want to see in the derby is getting to the ball quicker and not giving players 5 yards space, and find a player now and again, i believe MON is safe whille we are in the league cup but after Jan he could be in trouble. We also need about 5 players signing in January and spend about £80 m if we mean business.
Out of interest, who is out there, realistic and available, that would be better for us than Martin O'Neill?
Monty said "I believe we are safe while we are in the league cup but after Jan he could be in trouble." I've also seen a few other people murmuring about his future as well. I personally am not suggesting it at all, as while I by no means think MoN is beyond criticism, I think to be even mentioning the possibility of him being sacked in the relatively near future is premature to say the least.
too much knee jerking going on, everyone just needs to keep things in perspective, we ain't playing great and yet have had only one defeat to the champions. Still in the League cup when in previous years we would have been out on out arse. Yes, there is room for improvement and the performance of the majority of the players deserves debate, but frankly some of the comments here are verging on the hysterical. Johnson, not a good player - are they giving lobotomies out with the pies at the SoL these days? A thread dedicated to to roasting Colback -wtf? MoN needs to sort it out and I have more faith in the present incumbent manager than any other justifiably so - listen to his press interviews - he shares our frustrations. Debate yes do, criticise constructively(i.e. not just "****e" ) but this is not the time for overreacting.
Right mags next game if they dont win cut all there pay checks and half there money when they win there next match call it making a tough team
