Where you live. Each night after work (about 10.15) I stop at the same shop for my beer. I always buy the the same, so kind off got to know the lasses who work there. Now considering that this shop is in a half respectable area, it was a bit off a shock to find that one off the women (a 62 year old) had been stabbed 18 times at just before 11last night. Arrested some 19 year old, non local lad (whatever that means) What the crime rate like in your immediate area?
Seems like it. The dozy ****, there's cameras everywhere. Half the area has been closed today. Plus 2 parks.
What a ****. At least they found him quickly. People like that should be fed to the pigs. I'm lucky that crime where I live is fairly low. Like a lot of coastal towns there's a heroin problem, so it's mainly drug related petty theft etc. My local paper still runs stories where somebody's shed getting broken into is big news.
Someone dropped some litter in the village a few months ago. It was the main topic of conversation down the pub for weeks!
Pretty sedate round here. No gun or knife crime. Tends just to be alcohol related violence. We have a fair few Eastern Europeans now who according to my copper mate like to carry knives. Though they apparently like to stab each other or their wives and we don’t get to hear about it.
Worst thing that happened around the block from where I live was a group of kids mugging a 80 odd year old woman in broad daylight - little old Indian lady walking down the street and 3 kids jumped out of a car smacked her around and nicked her purse and jewellery. What these dipshits didn't know was that her grandkids are police and had more or a **** to give then normal. They were able to track them to Nottingham and since they were obviously a hardcore gang, armed police busting down their doors at each of their parents house and arresting everyone at 2am was deemed appropriate.
It'll be big news if some ****er breaks into my shed. There will definitely be dramas if that happens.
That is a good thing about Eastern Europeans here as well - they only commit crime against each other. I remember walking home a few months back after a night out to clear my head and about 6 massive Polish guys have a stand off in front of me. When they saw me, they were all smiles and let me walk past and once I was a bit of a distance away I heard a thud as one guy was using a wheelie bin to hit another.
I live in Edmonton, 100 yards south and I'm in Tottenham. Everything goes on around here. Stabbings, gang warfare, muggings, fights, prostitution. Hear sirens near enough every night but the saddest thing is you get used too it. One of my old primary school friends - ashamed I once called him a friend - was involved in a horrific acid and rape attack on a girl about 10 years ago. He and his mates took her to a block of flats, raped her multiple times and then poured acid over her to try removing any evidence. It got nationwide attention, though I only found out he was part of it because a girl from our primary found me on social media and told me all about it. Couldn't believe it at the time, was one of the quietest guys in our class yet turned into a ****ing cretinous ****. He only got 6 years for it so will have been out for a while, especially as our system is so ****ed most only end up doing half their sentence.
****ing hell - worst that happened to anyone I knew from my school days was one got 2 years for taking a traffic wardens camera after he was taking pictures of him. Didn't touch the warder otherwise and gave the camera back but he "stole government property" and got 1/3 or a sentence that a rapist got.
