Just got back from todays non-event, there ain't much to say about our inept performance! What I'd like to say is, we as a Club have serious problems about the players Sparky has lumbered us with, sacking the knob will not solve anything! these players are not worthy of wearing the hooped shirt, their only interested in ££££££££££££'s not the honour of playing for the R's, thats were the heart of the problem is. MH knows this and can't undo what he's done, they just don't give a toss, that was totally obvious today. the protest outside the ground after the game was futile but expected. Tony has a massive problem on his hands and I don't think he knows how to handle it! this same thing happened to Pompey good players on **** loads of dosh........and then the CRASH!! my only hope is that when MH is sacked, which will be very very soon, the new gaffa can turn this mess around before we drop back to the champioship. my final hope is that MH has 100% lost the dressing room and will start performing for the club under a new boss, cos if they don't were gone and lumbered with players on £50k with 3 or 4 year contracts in the championship, again the same as pompey and other clubs......From a life long hoops fan and ST holder
Eddie, good appraisal of our current awful situation. At 2-0 down today, I still had the faith to put down $5 @ 15/1on an R's win. This group of players though lacks the motivation & determination of the team that performed those heroics for that 3-2 comeback win against Liverpool last season. Really hope TF finally sees the light, sacks MH and attempts to salvage our season under a new manager.
Was going today but the tickets had sold out when i tried to get a couple for me and my boy. Quite glad i didnt now. Listened to the whole game on BBC Radio London and the commentators were scathing about the players apart from Adel and Mackie. They said the players dont look interested in fighting for the team and there is seriously wrong within the team. Probably stating the obvious but we are getting worst and have yet to hit rock bottom.
I think the difference is that you have a team full of guys who have been there done that, we've got a team full of players that have something to prove. Look at Puncheon and how he played, something to prove against a team he feels didn't give him the chance he deserved, and he played the best 90 mins of his life. Your players desire just isn't there. I think you're all right, you need someone who can come in and light a firecracker under these players arses. There's no doubt that there's some serious talent in that squad - and for your mob that has to be the bright side. It's not like your just not good enough. Chin up and good luck for the rest of the season (apart from at St Mary's).
Bosingwa is the worst. At one point our clown of a manager had a go at him he just shrugged his shoulders turned round and walked off. If I was the manager I would have subbed him right there and then but no not our muppet. They have no respect for MH and no desire or passion to play for the club. We are doomed
Jose Boswinga is one of the worst defenders ive ever seen play at our football club. Hes up there with Ned Zelic from the 80s and he was bad.
Indeed that was poor. In every regard. The only ones to come out of it with any credit are Nelson, Mackie and Taraabt. Unbelievable lack of desire, passion, fighting spirit, communication, respect for the punters, respect for themselves. Rarely more than 1 in the box, barely an attempt on goal after we scored and not many before. No pace, ineffective width, little movement, no aerial threat, no goal threat. Feel free to add to the list.
We gave them far too much room defensively. Puncheon was allowed to run into the box at will for his (well taken) goal. Conversely, every time we got the ball they were quick to get in our faces and in numbers.
I was embarrassed this afternoon. I'll be embarrassed in front of my mates tomorrow. I wonder how many QPR players and management will feel that emotion over the next few days. Because that's what it takes: a bit of pride, a feeling that you've let a lot of people down. Above all, a steely determination to put it right next week. More likely, we'll collapse into familiar chaos after about 20 minutes. And what the hell was Granero, hitherto one of our most creative forces, doing on the right wing? Why, when we were defending corners, did we have no-one on the halfway line to hold the ball up to allow us to prevent the ball coming back like a boomerang, assuming we ever managed to clear it in the first place? Were we really trying to zonal mark at corners in the second half for the first time this season? Or had everyone simply given up on man-marking? Was this a good time to start experimenting? Has Hughes got any of the answers to these questions? Has he got even the merest trace of ability to motivate a group of players? Does he ever raise his voice? Sorry, I'm very depressed.
Saints performance reflected the attitude of their manager. You could tell they were together. Something we can only dream of. We won't find that because MH treats this like a 'job' and has absolutely f*** all passion.
The whole thing about defending corners and, at 1-2 down, whether to have ANYONE outside the box pretty much summed the day up for me.
The thing that has summed up today and every other game since Spurs is we stopped winning the second ball against Spurs we got in to them and won the second balls and look like a team. Since then I don't think we have won the midfield battle in one game, today was a joke every 50/50 ball we lost even 75/25 we were losing as well. I would drop everyone of them and play the under 21 side at least they will play for the shirt and not the wage.
So beyond poor. Abjectly, woefully, tragically and pathetically useless. I work in a team of about 20 folks none of whom is interested in football. Often boring but I'm so glad right now.
We were bloody awful today, I really can't think of anything else to say about it. The word passion obviously doesn't exist in the vocabulary of any the players bar Mackie and Nelsen!
