The WIndies seem to have some serious pace in their bowling unit.......

When I was growing up we would have 20 a side football matches in Wormholt Park winter and summer with jumpers for goalposts. We'd also have kick abouts in the street just stopping for the odd car that would pass by. Seem to recall the local council built a small hut in the Park to store sports equipment like cricket stumps, poles for goal posts etc and had a supervisor during the summer holidays to organise various sports to keep us out of mischief.......

No such thing these days as kids don't do sport unless it's totally sanitised in a closed environment.........and they call it progress......

Taking this nostalgia bit a step further, l can recall back in the early 70's some of the older guys taking an old Victa mower down to the park to cut a pitch in the park grass.

We all took our cricket very seriously and would attempt to mimic, Lillee & Thompson.
Good times indeed. ( until we got hit by a speeding red cricket ball, bowled by one of the older guys, whilst wearing only one pad, a box, one glove and bare feet.)

Having just watched the highlights from days 2/3 the Windies attack looks dangerous again (that’s good to see) and Afghanistan may have a chance against Pakistan and/or Sri Lanka.
That’s my humble opinion.
