Just a though considering lansbury, eisfeld, henderson and (recently turned) 17yr old Kristoffer olsson are all in the squad for tommorow. Is it possible that we get m'vila ,a striker and promote one of the aforementioned names.

Disclaimer: I am not suggesting this be done (or not be done!) just trying to fathom what wenger might do so please don't shoot me down!

Surely not seeing as none of them are ready. Henri Lansbury unfortunately needs to be moved on as I doubt he'll ever be good enough for us (he's now 21 and hasn't had any real prem experience); Eisfeld has just joined and him and Henderson have both come off big injury layoffs which has hampered their development, and I can't really say much about Olsson as I've not really heard much about him, but again I seriously doubt they'd promote him so soon.

I genuinely think Wenger's happy with the AMs we currently have and isn't shopping for a big name in that area or looking to promote anyone just yet.

Rosicky is better, so why play anyone else? We either buy, or play Rosicky. Even Rosicky might get dropped when Wilshere is fully fit, giving us Song/Arteta/Wilshere.

    1.Wilshere
    2.Rosicky
    3. Chamberlain
    4. Diaby

..and maybe even Arteta will be fighting it out for the creative/attacking midfield role.

Olsson looks good but so does everyone in a youtube video. He's 17 though? Seems good for his age. I would at least test him out in the carling cup.

just turned 17 (born june 30th 1995). Only reservations regarding him is that he seems a bit slight though i've heard hes put on 6kg of muscle over the summer...have no idea if thats a lot or not but if its mentioned must be subtantial! Hope we've genuinely converted him from a manu fan though!

Bit of a problem that, seeing as if he becomes any good he'll have to turn into a City fan soon enough.

That can't be true. Not unless he has grown an inch or two in height.

We have Rosicky who can certainly play there, Wilshere who is yet to prove he can be a proper playmaker ( we all hope he can) and Arteta who can be used there as well. Beyond that there is nobody even remotely capable of a creative playmaker role. If Rosicky goes off the boil and Wilshere does not properly recover then Wenger will have to buy next summer. Chamberlain is nowhere near and from what I have seen so far he is not a playmaker type, I doubt if he has an eye for a good pass or can dictate the tempo and direction. So far it is all runs and simple passes from him. And Diaby as a playmaker is just a joke. How has Wenger, with all his alleged knowledge of French football, missed Cabaye is beyond me.
