My only concern would be potential injuries. I watched their game against Pompey and they had two men sent off.
Not really sure the best way to approach this game. Yes I'd like us to field a strong side to build up a some confidence, but the Stoke game is more important, don't want to loose three games on the trot. So I see a mix side, Ash needs game time as his confidence is shot.
We have to play our strongest side with all the players in their right positions, we must get our passing skills back to where they were at the beginning and kill teams off.... I dont recognize the last two games as swansalona as it looks a different team. Crawley or not crawley we must boss them from start to finish and score many goals to install the confidence into the side and you cant do that with a weakened team......
i'm with dai on this one, field a strong team and get the passing going again. britton to start please
Not so sure about the strongest side. Our goal during the week is preparing for Saturday. Anything that detracts the main set of players from that is to be avoided. It's time to let the young players have their day, show what they can do. We need to know and this is one of the best ways to find out.
I'm with Yankee. I think a few players need a rest after the reported niggling injuries they've had over the last few weeks. I'd be giving a lot of young lads some experience while testing out the guys who didn't play a full 90 on saturday. Like he says, we need to know if any of our youngsters can step up to the plate and take their chance.
priority has to be the League and not the cup(s) as nice as it would be have a run in them. The squad at the moment isn't strong enough to sustain everything so I would use tomorrow's game as a chance to try players in positions which they may be in next Saturday, Dyer's out , Henendez has a knock so there may be more distruption to the starting 11.It won't be an easy game tommorow and i'd be happy just to come away unscathed< We can't afford any more injuries
A talentless bunch by all accounts so no first teamers as far as I'm concerned. Anyone going to the game here's a cheerful tune from the fans
Why would anyone want a rest??? they have just had a long holiday and most have had an international break. the over paid players should be able to play everyday if they had too. They train for a couple of hours a day and spend the rest of the time on twitter.....PPPPffft. they should look at some other sports like cycling, hockey and the like, they dont get the money or the time off that footballers get......And the way we are playing then more training is needed and not rest.....If we field a weakened side after our last two performances and we lose against crawley with no effort shown then we go to stoke with 3 losses on the bounce and no confidence at all to show....If the first teamer's had shown that this was just a blip and just one of them games in the last two then yes maybe we could rest a few, but they need to play and need to get some confidence back and crawley is the ideal game to install that.....nobody needs a rest they should not need a rest at this point in the season....
Tend to agree with Dai. If Stoke is going to be a battle then Crawley is the perfect practice. Things that went wrong Saturday need to be worked on and put right. Especially the desire to come back and defend our box. Our passing and pressing needs to go up a gear. Everyone can have a bad day and Everton are a terific side so no panic but lets get the players to go again, with minor tweaks. Perhaps rest Vorm and Michu but with the injuries not many more.
Doesn't Dyer just get a one match ban for two yellows? If so, does that mean he serves that tomorrow night, so is available for Stoke? I also agree that we need to be trying to win this. Not overly keen on a long cup run, as it doesn't seem to do any small teams any favours when it comes down to the league in the long run, but I think we could do with a confidence boost at the moment
Have to agree with Dai, need to build up some confidence so we need to play our best side available. I expect ML to rest one or two, but I hope we put out a strongish side.
