Away again!! Tough draw but not bad. It falls in between the 2 legs against Valencia so will be on the Sunday.

A good draw really in that we have again avoided a PL team. May have been better at home but we should have enough to win the tie. Only drawback is the fact that we play Valencia either side of the game and we know what has usually happened following a Europa League game. Note that during the break from Europa over recent weeks our away form has been very good. Come on the Potters!!

Excellent draw - if we want to progress as far as we can! Ideal opportunity to rotate the squad between the Valencia ties and still get result - couldn't have been better!

    Capacity: 4,996 (1,150 Seated)

£180,000 from the FA if we win the next round and their away end holds something like 1600 fans but I doubt we will be allocated the full capacity and it looks like it's standing only and not undercover. Could be a bit of a grim away day especially if the weather is poor.
Will have to wait and see what tickets we are given as no doubt all the platinum plus holders will snap them all up first!
I was hoping for more prem sides to be drawn together again but it looks like it has been evenly spread out this time.
Going to be a tough game but hopefully if TP puts out the right side we should progress!

    I said the same Smither's.
Would have been a great tie at home for us that was who I asked for so fair enough <ok>
I HOPE all the AWAY reg fans get first pick of the ticket's too. YOU deserve one. I salute those who travelled yesterday. Makes me feel so proud when I hear you on the radio <applause>
LUCKILY season ticket at home so Valencia first and can't wait for that one. All in all a great draw which may be televised as we'll play on a Sunday.

Not sure what your allocation will be, guess to be around 1500, most is covered terracing with a few seats at the side of the stand nearest the away terrace.

Train station 15 min. walk, plenty of pubs in the town and one quite close to the ground The Half Moon.

We are a small club and generally well behaved.

Small car park at the ground with some additional parking close on match days, however lots of street parking if you don't mind a short walk.

We have a bar at the ground and it is normally open to all comers, hope this will not change for you guys.

Looking forward to meeting you, but be warned do not take us lightly, as Man U, Derby, Bristol City, Hull City have all found out.

Cheers for the info oldcodger very much appreciated. I doubt any of us will take Crawley lightly as we have seen in the past few seasons what your side is capable of achieving and like most lower division clubs (no offence) you will raise your game for this match. I would have prefered the tie at home but will still see if I can get tickets for the away day. Looking forward to it already!

We also have a player with a long throw "David Hunt" but do not remember any of his throws resulting in a goal, mind you....................

Weird feeling for me as I live in Stoke so will be travelling down on Saturday like an away fan but going to a home game.

WELL I was looking forward to the game until you mentioned the long throw<yikes>.. Nice one, living in this area safe journey fella<ok> Just hope it's a great occasion for Crawley and we get something from the game. TBH would not mind a draw and a re-play at our place. Would suit me and you perfectly I reakon?

Good luck mate, having a great season, hope too see you come up and all the best. <ok>
(edit) PROMOTED of course keep it going.

  15. OldCodger, Thanks for the info. If we get 1500 tickets I will be pleased as most of those who want tickets should I think would get them, given the distance.

Here's hoping as a season ticket holder.

It may be the distance I am from the action and having to rely on TV and the PC to watch us but I can not understand apart from the cost for another away tie what appears to be a worry that we are not at home for the tie. Apart from last season and 1972 we are not a cup side and with the greatest of respect to Crawley and their brilliant results if with our squad and various international players and our "hard" style of play we can not win this then I think we should be hoping that Valencia declare at half time to save further punishment

Admittedly our position in the Prem is false because results beneath us have gone our way and TP's negativity is a downer but we should be confident that we can go and win at Crawley

  17. We were also a cup side in 1971 and it was only the cheating foul ArseNIL who denied us and for which I will never forget. They may be tippy tappy now but with Mcklinitock, Rice, Storey, Ball, Simpson, George, McNab, Radford,to name a few, they were just plain crude and win at any cost. Let us hope we safely negotaite this round and have a home tie in the last 8.

I too remember that Arsenal side I think Waddo does too? Hillsborough was tough to take, that penalty and the like SIX minutes extra time STILL haunts me.
Robbed us of glory as I'm sure we would have won the final..

    On topic
Cris or Waddo I have a S/Ticket and Gold Card. IF it helps getting a ticket. P.M. me guy's. YOU can use mine with PLEASURE. I'm not really well enough to travel that far in honesty. Hence why I decided not to attend any away games. So, nay problem guys.. as I said. PM Me and one of you might get lucky and get a ticket.

We should win that game but I'm CERTAIN knowing the rewards if we won. Pulis will not take Crawley as an easy tie.

  19. Hi Potts, I was just 16 at Hillsboro and the only game I shed tears at when that Storey scored from the penalty. It still hurts me. It was so unjust. Even after the equaliser Jimmy Greenhoff had a chance to win it.

I am a gold member too so will be trying to get a ticket. Passtheoatckes is Platinum is going to try to get me a ticket for another game but if we get 1500 I think I should be Ok. Treat Waddo to it if he is not a gold member

NOT sure why, after all these years it hurts so much and I asked my uncle a few mounth ago about this. He is in his 90th year and still remembers EVERY bloody kick of that game. Funny on the one hand but he say's it didn't count and were the best team that day... Hope I'm still around and as honest at that age lol. Made me smile to think he can also tell you. EVERY player's name and he's still deep down anoyed. I KNOW he is Cris. NICE to know and I will PM Waddo, see if he wants that ticket.

Hope you get your's matie <ok>
