The Craven Meeting takes place over the next couple of days at Newmarket. Now that the Grand National is out of the way I see this as the real start of the flat season. Ok I know that Cheltenham also has a meeting but I'm turning my attention to the flat. Anyway to mark this I thought I would run a tipping contest for the meeting. (I have also got a quiet couple of days at work ) The rules along the lines of Ron's points competitions are: 1 horse selected per race 1st place = 30 points 2nd place = 20 points 3rd place = 10 points you can select 1 NAP which will be worth double points. 16 races over 2 competitive days - I am not expecting to do that well in this myself but there are definitely some good races coming up. I'll have a crack, although as with Oddy, I can't profess to be up to speed with the flat at all so far this season, I only took my first looks at it last night looking for value in the 1000 Guineas market...
