You guys seem up for a chat about most things - I noted Duks' washing machine thread on here. Pissed off for ages with the sound quality on my HP laptops and even my Panasonic plasma TV, so had a look around recently for an alternative rather than accept the crap built-in sound. Looked at expensive sound bar systems and the like but eventually plumped for a Q acoustics M2 soundbase. Firrrrrrkkkkking 'ell guys - what a difference!! TV sound now plays through the M2 with just a simple HDMI lead connection and I've hooked up my laptops to it using bluetooth. It sits in my TV stand and my main laptop is at least 25 feet away the other end of the room. The bluetooth connects automatically and is bloody brilliant for music, game commentaries, pre/post match interviews etc through the laptop. Anyone else putting up with ****ty built-in sound quality - have a look at one of these.
We have a bose soundtouch 300 soundbar. but since we got it I stopped watcjing tele and have spotify running through it. Awesome. Recently bought a bose wifi speaker to take my music with me. The thing looks a bit like a miners lamp stands at about 10" tall and produces 360 degree sound. I have no idea what magic goes on the get such rich and deep sound out of it but it is the best gadget I have ever had even at £304.
The M2 Soundbase is marketed through the usual Hifi/Wifi outlets at around £299. I took advantage of my BT membership and bought it on a weekend "Special" offer from them for £224 - again the best investment in techno I've made.
Going to treat myself to an Apple Homepod when they become available here in Ireland. Read all the reviews and talked to a few who have them
don't even use HDMI cable all done wireless what I do and watch on the laptop goes str8 to the big screen with a click of a button, TV has internet connected wirelessly so when I can be bothered I don't even use the laptop
Missing the point - it still doesn't improve the sound quality if you'r relying on your TV speakers - that's what I posted about.
nothing wrong with my TV speakers when set correctly they work very well for an old git like me. was just pointing out no need for a Bluetooth connection just connect laptop wirelessly to tv which improves the laptop sound quality if I am watching streamed footy or a movie I don't even use the laptop tv is enough
WTF you talking about? You post where you want where you want, I was answering MIGHTY's post on the subject.
If you're happy with your TV speakers (old git or not ) then that's fine. If you like music like me, they are crap.
Do you know the difference between decent music and sound quality? Doesn't matter what music you like, someone's crap is another person's choice - it's about the quality of the sound generated. Sorry to be boring you Chesh......
