No worries. We'll still win THE Treble. City are starting to crack and when Cleverley comes back we'll reel them in just like we always reel in the early pace setters.

Who's remembered for winning the mickey mouse Cup anyway?

Fergie's team selection is baffling though

I agree it's ok if you are in it and great to win a trophy but if you get knocked out then no big deal.

I will admit that Morrison? falling over twice was pretty funny. People orgasming when our C team loses is pretty sad though.

Not good. Almost up there with losing with that other insignificant team called Leeds.

Its only meaningless until they win it,i dont think its meaningless to their players(as shown in their celebrations above).

Dont get me wrong a trophy is a trophy, but when you look at the team played for a quarter final its clearly not considered important. Steve Kean said he "forfeited" his teams match because it wasn't important enough.

We want to win and are dissapointed with today. i think if you look at the views of more than just rick and Comas you'll see that, but personally im not going to lose sleep over it.

Grow up Trilogy,There was a full house of match going Utd supporters at OT tonight, the team that Fergie turned out were heavily fancied to batter Palace and just because you think the trophy aint worth winning does'nt mean matchgoers and players feel the same.

Your reply is fair enough mate, the CC is bottom of the list of Utd's priorities to win,all im saying is that as AVB has found out at Chelsea the strength in depth of his squad(and Utd's in Fergie's case)is'nt what they both thought.

I wouldn't say our depth of our team isn't good. On any other day, the team we put out would have won. Scores like these happen sometimes. As a Liverpool fan I am sure you remember being knocked out by Barnsley and Northamton in cup competitions.

Just to add, I am not happy being out of the cup, but this result doesn't get to me as a lost in the league or the other cup competions we are in. It's always nice to win, I just wished we had a few more youngesters in there.

Of course i remember, but you obviously dont remember we started last season close to relegation zone and never pretended we had a squad to match Utd,Chelsea or Arsenal at the time.

I remember where you were. I am saying these results happen from time to time. We lost to wolves a few years back when they were bottom of the league. Wolves went down that year. It happens.

Fair enough about your first point, but both Utd and Chelsea(compared to the last 3 seasons)are far poorer on depth, and AVB has found out the hard way in the Prem,Europe and the CC,Utd have'nt been brilliant either and Fergie is kidding himself(and the supporters)when he says hes happy with his current squad.
