He came in May and the transfer window closed on the last day of August. The mistake was pussy footing around bids for players.
Still has my full support and if a few cost cutting measures are in place to help us out in the long run then so be it.
No doubt though come January the vultures will be circling yet again.

As for Lawwell, well we all know what he's like. For the past few years his team have been getting horsed by a "skint" club, so let him joke if he wants to, we'll have the last laugh.

    aye you worry about Lawell

Whyte added: "It was the timing of it which was bad. Had a bid come in earlier in the transfer window — allowing us time to go and bring a replacement in — then it might have been a different decision.

to be fair if the offer was genuine i do not think either celtic or rangers can afford to turn down an offer of 9 million. i was suprised they knocked back 6.5 million

Hardly fighting back saying you will probably have to sell your best players in January, considering at the end of the season he was talking about spending £15m <doh>

I was surprised we knocked back £6.5m too tbh.

But I do believe that the £9m bid was made.

    What?

He has gone from saying he will spend £15m in the summer, to actually spending about £500k & is now saying that no matter the outcome of the Tax case in November some players will probably have to be sold in January. Thats a massive turnaround, even more so for a guy who has only owned the club 3/4 months!

There is jump in the wage bill meaning you don't break even on a monthly basis which could result in losses of £10m not including the tax case.

& James Beattie has just been given £1m to do one.

He's called LIEwell because that's what he does.

He's presided over monumental failures in managerial appointments, a horrendous run of finishing LAST in the 2 horse race for the past 3 seasons, yet you braindead mutants are suckin each others cocks because he made a wee jibe about £29m bid for Hooper and all is forgotten? <OSTRICH>

Aye, ok, Rangers might need to pay a bill, or they might not.

If I were a Jungle, I'd be more concerned about the <PUMPFEST> that is about to be administered by the crack Spanish outfit Athletico Madrid on Thursday instead of loitering on the Champions board with your particular brand of inane bullshit.

    <ok>

It means your wage bill has increased.

I liked the way Whyte said he spent just over £5m including contract renewals - cleverly forgetting the money brought in by the sale of Bougherra. So living up to his £5m a season

They haven't had all the Bougherra money yet though. I think they have complained about a late payment.

    You're a bit on edge

    Think on this

When a spawney **** like lawell has the rest of Scotland laughing at you things must be going wrong

But what is funnier, is that even though your old board members warned you about him, you still hang on Whytes every word.....why? Because he is a lifelong rangers fan billionaire(copywrite Keith Jackson) /millionaire/businessman

The rest of Scottish football laughing at us? Nope, just the mhutants, and I really couldn't give a **** anyway.

I don't hang onto anyones word, I posted an article about Rangers new chairman, on the Rangers board, for Rangers fans to discuss the merits of Mr Whyte, only for said thread to be hijacked by Timothy and friends.

As it stands, the jury is still out on Whyte, but I'll reserve judgement for now.
