Apparently Cardiff have made a new bid for Craig Noone?! In my opinion I rather Matt Phillips and at just £1mil seems a steel n only 20... And just watching Sky Sports News we are linked with a move for Watford player Mariappa is this true n if so why we don't need any more defenders?? Or it sky just assuming with the malkay link?? I would like to see us go for Sordell What's your thoughts?
The Jacks have been suggesting Mariappa will be going to them for around the £3M mark. Huw must have the piggy bank out. We certainly wouldn't be offering anything like that unless it was phased and conditional. Malky being here would make a big difference to his decision, but money talks and Watford are strapped.
Yeah n apparently we are interested can't see this as we got an abundance of defenders but Matt Phillips/Noone and Sordell would do nicely!! If you had to choose out of Matt Phillips and Craig Noone who you'd you go for?
Newcastle are after him too, talk of a bid close to £4M. I thought we were after a winger & a striker.
I've watched Matty Phillips a few times on the box this season and saw him when he was on loan with someone (can't remember who) and he's impressed me. He would be the one for me over Noone anytime but would imagine he'd be far more expensive.
Phillips seems to be the one I would like n 4 years younger! But I thought Blackpool had a wage cap so surely he's within out wage budget... And what's your views on a striker I rate Sordell highly only 20 And a good strike rate at championship level 27 goals in 79 games he's got a bit n speed n quiet strong with the ball

Phillips is going to Bolton apparently, and we'd have to pay closer to 2 million to get him. Rather have Noone as Brighton seem keen to offload to balance the wage budget
What happened on the Jamie Mackie front? He can play wide or up front which would suit us. At this stage of our squad building, I'd rather a more experienced player than a youngster. A 'player for the future' would be fine in the summer when MM and the backround staff can have a pre-season with them. We need someone who will hit the ground running. Anyone we sign also needs to be viewed as at least a premiership squad player for us. We can't afford to spend 'big' for a player who, with luck, wouldn't be needed next season. We need someone who will hit the ground running and be straight into the squad as a minimum, if not the team.
I agree totally I don't think Noone is right for us...and he didn't player last night is that cause he's still injured?!? We need a player fit and ready to help make that final push!! How long has he been out for...
@NPChampionshipR Cardiff City have made an improved bid for Craig Noone and are close to agreeing a deal for the Brighton & Hove Albion winger. Twitter
Swamp, it was on SSN too....but as always, I'll wait for OS confirmation. Have to admit I'm loving all the rumour sites today though. I even watched an argument on my timeline earlier over a rumour
Hmmm..........not sure about this one. Malky hasn't put a foot wrong yet, and we need someone like him out wide to take on full backs, but.....................
We have to have faith in Malky by now surely? Ben Turner was out for a long time before he came to us wasn't he? Not doing to badly now is he?
I've just looked at Malky's CV again. I must admit I missed the bit about him being a qualifeid faith healer............
