http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19530751 Hartlepool United have signed Sunderland winger Craig Lynch on a month-long loan deal. Lynch, 20, who is in the squad for Saturday's home fixture with Carlisle United, has played two first-team games for the Premier League club. The Black Cats handed the versatile forward a professional deal in 2010, although much of his football has been played in the reserves. He will wear the number 24 shirt at Victoria Park. Think this will be one of many short term loan deals but isn't a month a very short time to actually have any benefit? Surely a minimum of 3 months is required to allow a player to get used to the new club, players regime etc and have a chance of getting a dozen or more games in? 1 month just seems a waste of time to me for all 3 parties. Its not like young Lynch is knocking on the door of a first team place here at the SOL just yet is it?
They are usually a month to start with and then extended if its going ok. It was the same with Noble at Pools last year I think.
Can't see it doing anything but helping the lad, hopefully can gain experience and not too far from home
