.... is now available on a free after being released from Sunderland. Is he too risky due to injuries? As I understand he is now fully fit. Will prem clubs go for him? Wages too much ect? I think it's a good shout as he is surely a class above our current goalkeeping pool.

Do you really think that a goalkeeper that cost £9mil a few years ago will join Town? Would be great but honestly think its nothing more than wishfull thinking!!

totally agree Spanish and even if he was interested in us I dont think we could afford to pay a keeper in excess of £30k a week. Especially one that is injured on a weekly basis

I just think this is one we need to be looking abroad to find a keeper who can make the number 1 shirt his own instead of has beens and cast offs unless it's someone like kuszczak or Turnbull.

I don't think Jewell knows where abroad is! He must think Suffolk is a foriegn country as he hasn't shown any inclination to move down here. Mind you perhaps he knows deep down that he isn't going to be in the job beyond his two years!

I think Wages will be the big problem with most potential signings this summer!

A key position to fill for next season, a la CB. This above all else will determine what we are likely to do next season.

Gordon is a good keeper but his injury record is appauling and his confidence is shot.

Kuszack can demand decent wages, Gordon, Fulop et al can't because they've been let go. Lewis is off to Baaardiff. I don't think too many Prem teams are looking at new keepers.

It's a good job that Jewell and Clegg are keeping an eye on things <laugh>
