He is out of contract and favour at Sunderland so must be a bargain to consider. I think he would be a very good acquisition if played regularly. Shay Given would be my number one choice but what I have seen of Gordon in the past has been excellent.
He was bought for 8M originally - must be something there. He's also young which would be added bonus if he could hold down the no 1 spot.
I'm 34 so I cling to eveything I can get (OK so perhaps my memory is fading though. That is still pretty young for a goalie - look at the Freidels and Van der Saars of the world.
Craig Gordon would do for me. But with Mike Rigg now on board expect someone different, but yet really good. Sparky and Rigg will already have three quality keepers lined up.
That was because the Sunderland board stupidly gave $100m to Roy Keane who squandered every penny of it and nearly got them relegated. Gordon's sh*t and Given's far too old. We need a good up and coming lad. At the moment I can't think of anyone better than Kenny who also happens to be fairly sh*t!
