Ok maybe a little premature, BUT once survival in the EPL is secure I believe Craig Gordon should be the first of MH's signings in the summer.

Paddy has been found out on a few occasions at the top level this season and a top class keeper is a must for any emerging EPL team and with CG's contract up in the summer it would be a no brainer for me that we make a move for him as there is no transfer fee involved.

Celtic are said to be in the frame but I think he would rather stay in the EPL than move to the Scottish Pub League!?

I think MH fancies Ben Foster, hopefully he'll drop a clanger or two tomorrow...

I'm thinking MH will go for Robinson if Blackburn go down.

Way too soon guys to be doing this. Let's concentrate on one thing at a time. We still need to perform to our optimum level and have some overdue luck till the end of the season to save ourselves. Leave the speculation until then.

let's cheer on the team at The Hawthorns tomorrow and not guess who is the first to be discarded at the end of the season.

Robinson is the only goalie with a lower save % than Kenny. I dont want either Gordon or Robinson. i have a feeling we will get someone from abroad that hardly any of us have heard of.

    Good shout Mortlake <ok>

I rate him highly and he's definitely in among those good enough but still obtainable if we stay up. Would probably be among my top 5 keeper targets in the summer.

I agree that it's a tad too early. But I also think we're judging Kenny too harshly, based largely on his immediate post-injury period when he wasn't 100% fit either physically or mentally. And let's be honest, how many of the squad were on their game then? I personally think he's been OK for quite a few games now.

That doesn't mean, however, that I wouldn't swap him out if a better 'keeper became available. I think if Wigan go down, I'd be inclined to go for Al Habsi.

Incidentally, looking at the PL, I think Kenny is a better goalie (or at least no worse) than Hennessey, Cech (yes, really... nowhere near the 'keeper he was before the Hunt episode), Robinson, Schwarzer, the ginga at Bolton, Begovic and Ruddy. Just my opinion, mind... and I know jack ****.

Can't see Al Habsi staying with Wigan if they go down. Terrific keeper.

Not convinced by him, he pulls of spectacular saves but only because hes so often out of position.

I cant think of a 1st choice keeper I wouldnt swap Kenny for, probably a few 2nd choice keepers too.

Gordon's no world beater either. I can recall him making quite a few blunders in the Sunderland goal. Kenny seems to be back in form.
