So ***an's short term deal ends next week and I thought I would ask is he worth keeping for longer or should we let him go now? It's obvious that he still isn't match fit but is he worth taking the risk for longer or would his wages be better spent on someone else?
Personally, I wasn't overly impressed by him v Wolves. Without meaning to be disrespectful, he's not 'special'. I would rather see Dack being given more time on the pitch. His games seems to have improved well this season & he has the energy to perform defensive duties ( without picking up too many unnecessary cards or give away free kicks in dangerous positions ), as well as quickly join any attack.
Only problem with that Always is that he is so much better playing just behind the defenders than on yhe wing
It was Graig ***an who had the first shot on Friday (one of only four) after that he spent a lot of time helping on the defensive side, most of his passes went to a blue shirt. I've noticed that since PT has been here we play the full backs quite narrow when defending (helping out the centre backs) and rely on the wide midfield to drop back in defence. Worth keeping until the end of the season unless he is replaced with someone better.
I would keep Craig ***an until the end of the season, we have seen glimpse's of ***an's quality with his cross which eventually lead to Cody McDonald scoring against Sheffield United and again against Stevenage when he assisted Donervon Daniels debut goal. His experience will also prove to be beneficial to the likes of Bradley Dack and Jake Hessenthaler as those two can only learn a lot from someone like Craig ***an who has played in The Premier League.
