So did anyone else realise that only premier league players get tested for covid on a weekly basis? If players are moving around the country from city to city and "mixing"with others how do we know the virus isn't coming into Hull this way? I might be going over the top with this , but we are told not to mix with more than 6 people.
It seems ridiculous, but I’d be more concerned about 16,000 students arriving right about now. N.B. I am not against this, correctly managed, and have no issue with the students, but in terms of risk management it puts, what, 20-25 people on a coach into perspective.
At most people’s work not many people kiss each other, grab them from behind to stop them getting away or wrap their legs round each other though...
Not saying they do or don't, just pointing out why the rule of 6 doesn't come in to play with professional footballers
So, while were all at football, Dennis was moonlighting. Masks and disinfectant keeping punters safe at Hull's 'Covid secure brothel' https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/new...ews/punters-hull-covid-secure-brothel-4531446
To be fair the other poster didn’t say it did either, but my reply was only tongue in cheek (my own, for safety reasons)
Sort of City related. Armed Police are forcing people to stay inside Tiger's Lair. It seems extreme to me, I'm sure if they'd asked nicely, people would have complied. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/news/hull-east-yorkshire-news/armed-police-live-anlaby-road-4540412
It looks like the Police are in it for the long haul. They've projected the football match onto the Goodwin Centre to help them pass the time. please log in to view this image
Police statement: A spokeswoman for Humberside Police said: “Armed officers have been in the Anlaby Road area of Hull this evening following a call from a member of the public at around 8.50pm, reporting a cracking noise which they believed could be shots fired from the building. Officers were immediately deployed and enquiries were undertaken at the scene. A police cordon and road closures were in place, and people were asked to avoid the area as a safety precaution whilst this was carried out. There have been no further reports received and no injuries reported, with no suggestion there is any connection to terrorism or known criminality.” Chief Superintendent Darren Wildbore said: “Enquiries will continue however there is not believed to be any wider threat or risk to the public at this time. We will always take any report of this nature seriously and respond appropriately, as the safety of the public and ensuring their protection will always be our priority.” Anyone with information that may assist enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting log 574 of September 22.
HDM seems to have moved on from the habitual glum face, arms folded pose. Drinkers at a pub in Anlaby Road that has been cut off by an armed police siege are "upset and want to go home", according to those inside. "Everyone wants to go home and people are upset. We're stuck inside and can't get out. "We all need food, we’re so hungry." https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/new...news/drinkers-anlaby-road-armed-siege-4540446 > > please log in to view this image
