Doncaster (BOTTOM OF THE LEAGUE) went AWAY to Coventry. For Coventry it was a MUST WIN game, for Doncaster it DID NOT MATTER. Coventry LOST 2-0 and had a STARTING 11 defender sent off.

Next Saturday Coventry go AWAY to the team sat in 2nd. For us it is a MUST WIN. For them it DOES NOT MATTER and will have one of their best defenders out. We will have our BEST 11 out.

All of this only matters if West Ham win 2 games in a row against some GOOD TEAMS, one of which is AWAY.

To all you lost hopers, we are going up. And if somehow we dont after this gift which has been presented to us, we dont deserve to.

This is before the playoffs are even considered....

to be fair doncaster also played boro last week away and got a 0-0 draw which is more than we can say.

this being said we would have to play really bad, and they would have to be really well to get anything from this match

then you got the matter of west ham needing the points, would still be a huge shock

Across hampshire todays result caused a squeaking of bums. Coventry have nothing to play for, but neither did West Ham in 91 when we were relegated and United came to us needing the points for the title. Fact is you'll either face a side already beaten, or a side with no fear at all, and if West Ham beat Leicester tomorrow what will that do to your team? The pressure got to both West Ham and Southampton who've been under the microscope all season, but Reading who've been relatively ignored all season, have pretty much won the league in the last month from nowhere.

My bum is a bit squeaky but that is more down to being sat on a coach to and from 'Boro! One point would have made it all worthwhile but the show goes on to the next act, how will it end? Who knows?

I am hoping that you DON'T slip up against us!

As a Cov fan (of over 50 years supporting the club) , while I will stll continue to love and cheer for my team through thick and thin (albeit from 5,000 miles away), I always want us to win - when it matters. However, since we are now "Pining for the Fjords" and really looking forward to 3rd Division football next season (yuk!), I am no longer concerned about the result against the "Bells Of St Mary's"!

Unlike Sunderland or Leicester , I've never seen an unfairly negative thing posted about us by Saints fans, and would truely be delighted for you lot - if Southampton can clinch promotion against us.

I would be even MORE delighted if you could take our board SISU with you! ;)

Regardless of whether you get Promoted or not - all you Saints fans should be grateful that you really dodged a bullet a few years ago, when SISU didn't end up as your owners!

Good luck for next week and good luck in the Prem! I, for one will be quietly rooting for you.

( Er....can my brother (who still lives in Cov) borrow a guide to League One grounds from one of you guys?
After all, you won't be needing it again while he will! ;) )

League 1s actually not all bad. And some of the football is surprisingly good.
