Frank Lampard's men have won back-to-back league games and are only seven points outside the top six, despite sitting in the bottom half. Watford failed to contain the threat of Preston striker Milutin Osmajic on Tuesday night, as his brace condemned the Hornets to a 2-1 defeat on home soil. Tom Cleverley's men have won just two of their last 13 Championship matches away from home. It is difficult, to say the least, about what the latest turmoil at the club will mean, so until more firm information becomes available it is better that I say little. With the injury crisis at Watford becoming worse as we find out that players are suffering long absences, you wonder just what team will be going into this game, and what formation they will be using. Tom Dele-Bashiru and Giorgi Chakvetadze are both fit and ready to play. Due to the injuries, we might see Ken Sema who has been training with the 1st team.
It's going to be an interesting bench. Give the youth a chance. No other option. COYH!! Will miss the game as work is heavy atm. ****ing annoying really, but on with the show and have to earn my right to sneak off for games!!
Club have backed Tom and obviously the fans will so hopefully the players can too otherwise do fear for Tom..
Fans currently heading to the ground, saying there appears to be a lot of them ready to support Tom. I hope they remember to support the team as well on what could be a difficult afternoon for them.
Well that is why I ask is the support going to carry on even if the performance isn’t good and result not great as on Tuesday after a while there was basically nothing . Apart from booing at the end . Maybe more aimed at the players than Tom obviously but there is a lot of people particularly angry with some .
Love Ken. I hope he can supply Bayo who was pretty bereft of service in the week. Whatever midfield we have, they need to support breaks on the flanks, which didn’t happen on Tuesday. Hence the big U-shaped attack, i.e., breaking up the wing till you hit a dead-end, pass backwards to FB, ball then passed FB-CB-CB-FB to break up the other wing to the same effect. Preston did us not least because their midfield gave options to their wingers.
Morris and Poretous back from the cold. It does feel a bit like its a case of trying anything in the defence! Good to seeGeorgi back - need a big game from him.
