I reckon this will be a very difficult game, they're probably on the best form in the division over 10 games or so. Still not sure whether I'll go or not, but I'm going for Coventry 3-1 Shrews watched by 14,003 and with Purdie scoring his first goal for us.
14,701 people will watch Coventry sneak home 1-0 However, I would have had a great Xmas break if the Shrews could prove me wrong.
Coventry 2 v 1 Shrewsbury Rodgers Att 15,100 Comes on you Shrews prove my prediction wrong and get 3 points.
well done shrews, doing the double over covy. our marv wanted by other clubs? hands off our marv. the value of our squad may have increased by a lot. do we want el tel back? for and against
Just got back - what a great battling team performance to give us our first away win this season. The defence were all magnificent - particularly Grandison who was everywhere clearing danger with head and feet - it was also really good to see Jacobson so solid after a while out of the team. I was also very pleased to see Morgan score - he had a couple of chances before that but was in the right place when the keeper only parried the header. Coventry missed their chances ( and when they did get it on target Weale was brilliant) and we took one of ours - that's football. A really goood start to 2013 - we look to have a relatively settled side which is getting to grips with life in League 1 - so lets go onwards and continue our march up the table.
I didn't think about it before, but Grandison was ex-coventry so that makes his performance an even greater thing for him to help keep a clean sheet.
Always on the cards since we have not lost at Coventry in the league since 1963. Disappointing attendance, though, as there were over 27000 on that last occasion.
There were 1403 Town fans there - considering our away form that was a great effort by all and they were rewarded with an awesome performance by Grandison and co. Our away following might even help them pay their rent!
