The attacking midfielder signed for QPR from The Robins on a three year deal for an undisclosed fee in the summer. Gladwin has struggled to break into the first team at Loftus Road and it is understood that The Hoops are willing to once again loan the youngster out this month. please log in to view this image Coventry City Manager Tony Mowbray is an admirer of the versatile midfielder having been impressed with the role which Gladwin played in Swindon Town’s successful run to the League 1 Play Off Final last season and the player could play a similar role at The Ricoh Arena should a move to The Sky Blues materialise. Gladwin started his career floating around the non league scene after failing to make the grade as a youngster at Reading but was given a chance in The Football League by Swindon Town in 2013 where he impressed. Coventry City are challenging for promotion back to The Championship and Gladwin could be a useful addition to Tony Mowbray’s side. Mowbray has galvanised The Sky Blues since his appointment as Manager in March 2015.
Surely someone playing at top end of league one should at a minimum be good enough as a squad player in the Championship so why not give him a go at least until then end of the season & then if don't believe he'll be good enough to then consider offers.
From what I remember reading one of the main reason he was signed was so that the transfer fee for Luongo was off set as Spurs had a big % sell on with him. However seems an honest player who would give it his all and seems strange to recall him from a division 1 side where he was getting games to loan him to another division 1 side, expecting it's mostly media nonsense
It is not their ground. Rented and there was a spot of bother about that last year. At least we are not in that situation - yet.
We signed him, he got injured and went out on loan t get fit and games under his belt. Random thought.....seeing as we bought him, why not give him a few games to see if he can play for us in the way JFH wants......
