Pick and choose my games this season I think! Unless someone is willing to print me a fake student I'd
One of my most valued possessions! I can get a bus ride AND a newspaper (Metro) without having to spend a dime. And if I go into Broadmead and stroll through either of the McDonalds I can pick up a free Bristol Post too! Bliss!
Starting XI: Mildenhall, Leadbitter, Parkes, Lockyer, McChrystal, Brown, Clarke, Monkhouse, Sinclair, Taylor, Brunt SUBS: Mansell, Gosling, White, Harrison, Preston, Mitchell
Full Time Gas 1-2 Coventry Reading the tweets from the game sounds like we played quite well so you can read them here https://twitter.com/Official_BRFC
Although my thoughts about Rovers are still coloured by anger at our relegation I must say there were encouraging signs for the season ahead. We seem to have a hard-working bunch of players who want to play on the ground. A fair result would have been a draw, and we were the better side for the first hour. We stretched play across the pitch and often had two up on the break. Ledbetter looked useful at RB, Sinclair scurries everywhere, and Monkhouse had that bit of class with time on the ball. Fans were behind the team during and after the game, though I heard a bit of booing when Harrison came on. An encouraging performance.
my 1st pre season game and i was pleasently surprised. and as games come thick and fast in the opening weeks of the new season, fitness levels will improve further and tactics will be use to by the players. this has helped me be get a little more excited for the unknown to come in non league but grimsby and co will be a different task altogether as we will be their cup final. but as long as we see 100% by the players fighting for our club then i will be happy.
I wasn't there but weren't we playing Coventry's youth team with a handful of their 1st teamers? Hardly bodes well. However, if the players put in a shift and played it on the floor at least it's an improvement from the drivel last season.
That's what was said on Facebook so I was told besides didn't think Coventry had any money for a squad and don't forget they're two leagues above us
Yep...I'm not getting carried away. Coventry had two 17yr olds, three 18yr olds and one 19yr old playing. Newport County beat a similar Coventry team 1-0. Coventry themselves probably put out a stronger side today v Stevenage, a league team.
