Thought they both had their best games yesterday for some time. I think the stick Cousins has been getting is ridiculous and a lot of people (the less educated ones) have just jumped on the band wagon and half weren't even at the Reading game. Against Reading everyone was almost hoping he would mess up. Eze showed yesterday how much better he is when going forward rather than putting his foot on the ball and losing the momentum. Am hoping they have both turned the corner now. It can't be easy for Cousins playing RB one wee, then being left out, CM the following week. Interesting if either are picked v LUFC.
Cousins is usually somewhere between ok and poor. Against Reading he was abysmal. Had a good second half yesterday after a highly forgettable first and was better than usual against Boro. Heard he played well at Forest too.
Disagree. Against Reading he was no worse than anyone else. I am not a big fan of his but give credit where it's due. We all know we have loved a scapegoat from Mick Leach to Martyn Busby and so on. those ''watching '' it on the radio just follow the commentator and whoever says first on here that Cousins is rubbish.
Has Cousins really been getting stick? Must admit I am far from convinced of his ability and for someone bought as a box to box midfielder his return has been poor. That said he's probably been asked to play every position bar goalkeeper.
I think he's a decent player with very fragile confidence (and without confidence he has a tendency to seem quite invisible). It's a bit of a catch 22 - he won't get confident without games but, with decent competition, we won't give him an extended run. Luongo's absence and Cameron's injury could be the chance he needs (since he seems favoured over Scowen whatever).
