Not again.............but it sounds like it might be. Word is that Portpin have asked for another adjournment. Why oh why cant the powers that be see that this is now a deliberate attempt for Portpin to try and block the forced sale of FP to the PST? If another adjournment is sought and agreed too.........the authorities out side of football are failing us as well IMO! PUP
The new date 2 weeks from now is the date of the 2 day court case in which FP value will be sorted. I don't know why it has to br dragged out like that but oh well. In the long run when the PST have taken over, I won't give a thought to it.
PKF also confirmed the administration has been extended until 17 August. This is very worrying. A) Are we actually ALLOWED to start two consecutive seasons in administration? B) As we are almost certainly going to be relegated, even without a 10 point penalty, this means we will start with AT LEAST -10 in League Two. C) Depending on the rules with regard A) we could be about to go down the same road as Luton, when they had an unprecedented -30 points in 2008-09
Devo, as i am lead to believe, the FL wont let us start next season in admin. I am pretty sure its exit this season and take -10 or thats it! To me, Portpin are just making a mock of this again.......either PKF are near to brokering a deal to prevent it going to court, or PKF are not wise to what Portpin are doing. Surely its either except the bid on FP or don't. if you don't then lets get it to court and get it decided on...........once a for all!
Unfortunately dev, no- we're not. The FA said we will be expelled from Football League competitions if we are still in administration when next season starts in August. If we are miracuosly allowed to stay in tough, I think we'll be deducted like 40 points or something, so it's not worth worrying about .. Fingers crossed our future's brighter than that though!
Sorry to be the one to bring bad news but it's actually June that the FL has set as the deadline. Also, even if we are relegated without the ten point penalty, as long as we go out of administration this season, it'll apply this season I think.
How much longer will this sh*t go on for. If we are in admin next season as well I'd be amazed if anyone actually bothered to go to FP; severely testing the fans' patience.
Groundhog Day ??? I thought you were posting a picture of your new Argie manager, trussed up in a strait jacket
My real fear now that the admin has been extended to August is that PKF simply want to ensure that we fulfill our fixtures for the season as a prelude to liquidation. If this is the case, will the PST have time to register a new club in time for it to be placed some-where in the non-league pyramid? (Southern League Division One South and West would be logical IMO, as the fan base is simply too big to go lower). It could be that we don't have a side for next season, with 'AFC Pompey' starting in the 2014-15 season.
Yeah I've heard a various points on the news that the FL, PFK are just keeping us alive so that we can fulfill our fixtures but then the News is full of all sorts of BS, about 5% decent comments compared to 95% rubbish. I think the deadline for registering a new club is fairly late in the summer, as when Farnborough were liquidated which was about end of April/May time, they were able to reform the club that summer and begin again the following season. As long as the Trust start doing the research if we're still in admin by late March maybe (and remember they did plan for Plan B previously). I think we may be able to reform straight away in the summer. If not the FA would be taking the piss if it turns out PFK were just keeping the club alive until the end of the season. That would mean we can't form a new club for next season but had they liquidated now, we would have been able to reform in time for next season.
Anyone looking for a bit of a laugh- watch the "interviews" the little Argentine gives the media through an interpreter. I was watching Match Of the Day last night with a mate- we agreed it's hilarious Anyway talking of translators e.t.c, do you reckon David Beckham will put on a french accent when doing a press conference for PSG later like Joey Barton ?? It would be great if he did!

Why hilarious? He's not comfortable enough with his English to speak to the press yet. Seems a pretty smart move to me. Less chance of getting caught out.
