I guess he moves to a new club and will then try signing Liverpool players as well as Swansea, Reading, Watford players & Chelsea youngsters?
The thing is we won't know the truth about the "Rogers' Affair" until somebody writes a book. Can the coach that followed him to Pool speak clearly enough for a ghostwriter to make sense out of it. Or perhaps Gerrard will have a last but one chapter titled .... "Rogers ... Finally realized I wasn't going to win ****" or "No Passing Forward".
Very astute post there Yankee, and I think most Jacks worth their salt would agree completely, clearly a few are still hankering after the old tart, but my view is lets make the most of Laudrup, such a high profile appointment doesn't come along every day, as evidenced by his predecessor!.............
Nah ! Can't remember anybody before Laudrup ! Yankee again great post have some rep! Dragon coming for a pint tommorow you ol' tart?
I've already got things arranged for tomorrow, but thanks all the same! Keep Dilli on his toes wont you though, he's a bit of a mad hatter.....................
The honeymoon period is well and truly over for Brendan Rodgers. Liverpool fans are nobody's fools and they know that something needed to be done to stop their gradual downward spiral. A club of that stature should be in the Champions league places every season and challenging for the title. The reality is that they are light years away at the moment. However, Wednesday night showed clearly the limitations in their squad and the massive task at hand. They are aspiring to play in the same way that the Swans do but Rome wasn't built in a day. During the game we saw just how much better the Swans are at it than Liverpool. At times the passing and movement was breathtaking and done with lightning speed. We tore them to shreds and the second goal was perhaps the best example because when we broke so quickly it was 3 against 0. Not one defender in sight. For me that goal epitomised the difference between Rodgers and Laudrup. Rodgers is our past and given the spanking we gave him along with the reaction of our fans towards him it's time now to draw a line and move on. Let him get on with his job at Liverpool and let us enjoy the ride that Michael Laudrup is taking us on. Citeh hanging on for grim death last week, Rodgers mullered in mid week and the champions of Europe in town this weekend, lets be honest lads it's never been a better time to be a Jack.
I think some scousers thought that our comments were sour grapes when Rogers first left. I think most are now starting to see that it's just amusement The trouble Liverpool have now is that they spent 7 million on him and Pascoe, can they afford to throw that away after all the other recent overspend failings?
Fantastic post yankee! perfectly summed up the general feeling for me Alot of sensible comments from the Jack faithful tonight, make no mistake though,Brenden will be our guilty pleasure for a while yet, its just the way football goes. Laudrup is manager of Swansea city, how ****ing awesome is that ??
Dilli and we showed the champions of Europe how it's done too, had us down for a draw, and we got it, think we could have won it, had not the ref been a Chelsea pensioner! King Laudrup thank you very much, your a Legend................
I thought we did very well against the European Champions. They were drooling with class and we did well to smother them. We didn't have a chance to show our pace on the flanks because they were a team of athletes. Monk did well, but we can't rely on him long term and I was chuffed with the 88th minute equaliser because I thought the ref had swung it their way. I thought it was a great game (although not much goalmouth action) and another result for our history books. The next challenge is to go to Southampton and get a result
