Dilli, would love to have come down, but on holidays at the moment. I'm saying holidays but actually doing work for the in laws, no rest for the wicked. I was planning on going to the Liverpool game, but things contrived against me just my luck. Don't get to home games now often, will be going to the Southampton game, like a home match for me only 20min trip happy days. Oh, give BillyB a slap from me the GIT!!!!! Not bitter me!!!
Norway, post #21 nearly brought a tear to my eyes. Very few people could have put it more eloquently, really bashed the nail with that. Most of us were excited by Mr Laudrup`s appointment, and couldnt believe that he would actually take the job. There were one or two (you know who you are) who still think rogers is the bee`s knees. It was nice to progress in the cup game, but points on the board in the league is much more important. Things are starting to look good what with the team now starting to click as a unit. I agree with ML that the Saints game is more important to us than the Chelsea game, although it would be nice to get something from that as well. Let`s go get them points to make us safe!! Terrific thread.
Every praise that you give Laudrup now you can replace laudrups name with Brendan's as fans were saying the same thing about Brendan as they are saying about laudrup now .. thats why its trollop....Its so funny and makes me laugh.....i cant wait until the day comes and laudrup leaves (hopefully not for a few seasons yet) on what slagging off you will give him... It will happen it always does by some.... still it makes me chuckle....
Thanks swanee.. Dai, of course he will leave someday, master of stating the obvious these days arnt you.. Ever thought about how you feel right here right now ?? or do you live your life with a specific date in mind of when you will enjoy the good times?? Who gives a **** about what happens in the future RE football, there is too much things going on in the world not to enjoy the moment when your in it,right now we are in a good moment, they havent happened too often in our clubs History but when they are here lets make the most of them eh ? Laudrup is the best thing since sliced bread until us fans reckon he isnt, simple. Rodgers was the best thing since sliced bread until us fans reckoned different. Sousa was the best thing since sliced bread until us fans reckoned different. Martinez was the best thing since sliced bread until us fans reckoned different. So ****ing what, circumstances change, attitudes change, results change, managers change etc, etc, etc. Its all about the hear and now Dai not about who might be right 2yrs down the road !! if your really holding out until he is gone just to say "i told you so" then i think you need to get a life my friend Your thinking about stuff that aint relevent, god forbid, some of us might not even be around in a few years time, is it really worth holding on to such in insignificant thing as "i cant wait till he leaves so i can chuckle" i how perverse is that? Football is an emotional game, for players mangers and fans its the classic love/hate relationship. A fan without any passion for this is surly missing the whole point of why football is loved by so many
cant you see what i said norway.......every manager we get gets loads of praise and can do no wrong but the minute they move on the slagging off brigade start talking crap and running the manager down......that is what is so funny and childish, It happened to Flynn,Martinez,Sousa and now Brendan.. and i said it will happen to laudrup when he finally leaves........Its a bit school boyish don't you think.. why cant fans appreciate what these managers have done and wish them well at their new clubs.....
"Brendan, what's the score?" and "Your getting sacked in the morning", was chanted after the second and third goal by over 3000 travelling Jack Army! Hope you weren't too upset by it Dai! But I loved it myself, and so did the media................. PS: Your ploughing a lonely furrow their mate, the future is KING LAUDRUP!...........
No im pointing out to the silent readers here what an idiot you look with your schoolboy comments... ..
I think everyone wished brenden well Dai, then he decided to **** on the good faith All im saying is its up to fans to cheer and jeer who they want when they want, its football thats what it is Dai, im at a loss as to what people are supposed to do when a manager or player leaves, every situation is unique but most people and i know this aint the silent majority by the way, have the attitude "leaving to further your ambition? fair enough ,**** off and dont come back..next please " Its the way of the world im afraid Dai
Your love affair with Brenda the tart, does you no good Dai, matter of fact it's making you look a right numpty, never mind your good entertainment value, I'll give you that! Clearly your a Liverpool supporter, but most Jacks have moved on to KING LAUDRUP, the boots Brenda is not fit to lace, maybe you should have paid more attention to what the Watford boys stated regarding him.......... Norway you make a valid point, regarding the way he agreed to, not come in for our players, then scuttled the Siggy deal, which then blew up in his face, and he clearly tapped up Joe well before he left, and it's been his limited hallmark, where ever he's been, Graham he new from Watford, Sinclair and Borini from his Chelsea days, what will he do when this all drys up?............
A tad different to the way you do it then Dai. You like to slag them off when they're with us, then blows smoke up their arse when they leave
Actually Dai, I was getting pretty tired of his repetitious blarney about a few weeks into the first season and commented on the fact that what was coming out of his mouth was Blarney. His football was marginally more attacking than Sousa's in large part due to Sinclair who could do no wrong in the Championship but got buttoned up by average fullbacks in the Prem. Has anyone pondered that one of he reasons he moved on sharpish was not necessarily because of Liverpool, they just happened to be the convenient vehicle, but because he realized he had run out of ideas and was just quietly itching to move on. Time will tell if he's found new ideas to apply at Liverpool .... But read their board and you will read the same commentary that many of us were making during last season and especially once the wind left our sails in the last couple of months and team after team found ways to make us look ineffective ... Either that or his motivational speeches were falling on deaf years in the changing room because I remember many games where we looked disinterested and lacking in energy. The difference between ML and BR is night and day in any dimension you want to compare them. Not that ML is perfect. I'm sure he has his faults and they will reveal themselves over time, but he has quietly made significant player moves for a song and his "adjustments" to our style of play are producing dynamic offensive output. This is something to get excited about. Sure we will ship goals now and again, but in the space of 7 days we feel short changed and disappointed over Man City, breezed through Anfield and put on a display of the Swansalona style that must have BR thinking WTF (I know the Kop are), and tomorrow we go head to head with Chelsea - and quite frankly I'm optimistic that we will make them sweat for the points they get, if any, too.
Dilli, need to get my tickets sorted out next week. Not sure if one of the lads from work is coming as he's a Saints fan or sort of!!
